Apprentice 3 Candidate Breaks Down into Tears

April 13, 2005 11:06 PM by Joe Blackmon

Apprentice_413For the first time in "The Apprentice" history, a candidate breaks down and sobs in the boardroom after an emotional exchange which leads to this week’s firing on NBC, April 14, 9-10 p.m. ET/PT. After the firing, Donald Trump feels so bad that he invites the firee to join him on the other side of the boardroom table and a sincere, tear-filled moment ensues.

On this week’s task candidates create a promotional brochure for Pontiac’s new Solstice Roadster. Armed with top-notch photographers, graphic artists and models, each team must design and print the brochures before presenting their finished product to Pontiac executives. During the task delivery Trump also announces that the winner of this season’s "Apprentice" will receive their very own Solstice.

An unlikely hero emerges during the task and blows away the competition with their creativity and dedication. Both teams attempt to pull all-nighters to complete the task but one project manager is left alone by their sleepy colleagues.

An amusing team-building reward at Madison Square Garden features Trump shooting foul shots with the winning team along side Isaiah Thomas and some of The New York Knicks.

Remaining Candidates:
"NET WORTH": Chris, Alex and one candidate from "Magna"
"MAGNA": Kendra, Tana, Bren, Craig

Week 12 Exemption: Tana

    I thought Donald Trump’s remark last week about “…hanging out with losers…” was totally inappropriate and unacceptable. In reality, Chris did absolutely nothing and, as the Team Leader, should surely have been FIRED!

    Chris was pre-judged and no one can over come that obstacle when it’s from Donald Trump. But if Kendra didn’t prove she’s the best on this show, everyone is BLIND!!!

    Chris is a crybaby. Grow up, loser!

    I do not think Chris is a crybaby. He was 22, for gosh sake. Although he deserved to be fired, I felt bad for Chris when he cried. The Donald makes some rude comments in the boardroom sometimes, but he was nice to Chris when Chris broke down. I don’t like the remaining men… especially Alex. He is sneaky. Craig is a jerk, and although Bren works hard, there’s something about him that I don’t like. He doesn’t have enough creativity. I LOVED Tana up until this episode. She used her exemption unwisely, leaving Kendra to complete the task on her own. GO KENDRA!!!

    Chris stayed way too long. He should have been fired a few episodes in. He is violent, immature, and lacks professionalism in every way. The only reason I figured he stayed was because Trump looked at Chris like a child he wanted to help more than an employee holding his own. The men left are lacking in strong, ethical leadership or good old creativity. As for Tana, she showed her true colors when she walked out on the job and then tried to steal Kendra’s hard work and glory. Tana is truly a sleaze. While Craig continues to act like a pompous ass, Alex remains devious and Bren, unfortunately, is a lamp with very low wattage; sure it works, but it just isn’t worth a damn.

    The weirdest thing just happened. I posted my comments a couple of minutes ago and then all of a sudden, my post appears under “Michelle” supposedly on “April 16, 2005.” I don’t know how this could have happened since today is April 20, 2005. There is definitely a problem with this site.
