Trista Sutter and Louis van Amstel Eliminated on Dancing with the Stars
June 08, 2005 11:56 PM by Joe Blackmon
ABC’s hit reality TV series Dancing with the Stars suffered its first casualty tonight. The elimination process involves a little bit more math than most reality TV shows. The judges’ scores from both last week and this week are combined to arrive at one total. The judges’ total is then combined with the viewer phone and Internet vote to arrive at a final total. The contestant with the lowest combined judges’ scores and viewer votes is the couple that gets eliminated.
Based solely on the judges’ scores, Kelly & Alec would have been eliminated. However, the audience vote evidently disagreed with the judges’ scores. When the judges’ scores were combined with the audience vote, Trista & Louis wound up having the lowest total and were eliminated from the competition.

Trista
Hon – I hate to be the one to tell you this but nothing tells you your fifteen minutes are up like getting voted off a reality show hosted by Tom Bergeron. Please go home and annoy your husband and leave us be!
Sincerely,
Heather
p.s. Pederman ROCKS!

For any serious female ballroom latin dancer, Louis Van Amstel being voted off the show was simply ridiculous. I have lost interested in watching without Louis being there! It was a bad move on the show’s part for audience ratings.

Trista,
I think that your former bachelor and bacheloreet voted you off the show. Don’t be discouraged, my former bachelors would have knocked me off the show too.
Bye:

Trista,
I thought that you were the best dancer, and I was really dissapointed by America’s choice. You deserved to be there till the end!

Could somebody please e-mail me and tell me how I can e-mail Trista so that she receives it? I tried e-mailing her when she was on The Bachelorette but I received no response. My e-mail address is PyrpleGyrl19@aol.com
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I loved the pink dress Tristia wore and would love to get a copy of the dress sketches! Anyone with any good pics of the dress or with the designs please e-mail IcePrincess4011@aol.com

I gave Kelly a sympathy vote on the first night of the show, knowing that you were going to win the competition. If only I had known that all of America was going to do the same thing. Keep your head high, everyone I know did the same thing, we gave your vote to Kelly, but only for that one night. The rest of the shows would have gone to you!!.

Could anyone tell me the artist and/or the name of the song that Trista and Louis danced the waltz to? It was beautiful music to dance to, and I think they were great! Thanks.

Trista, I think that your former bachelor and bachelorettes voted you off the show. Let’s get another bachelorette to see if the same thing happens to her

Louis and Trista definitely belong in the finals, they were so coordinated! Lost faith in the show’s scoring from hereon.
