Bravo kicked off the summer season in a big way this week with the premieres of the third season of "Queer Eye," the second season of "Blow Out," the third installment of the Moms & Dads franchise, "Sports Kids Moms & Dads" and a new episode of the longest-running Bravo original series, "Inside the Actors Studio."
Fans of "Queer Eye" welcomed back the new season of the Emmy-winning series featuring the World Champion Boston Red Sox. The episode, which premiered last night at 10:00 p.m. ET, delivered increases of 131 percent in households (1.1 Cov. HH RTG), 141 percent in adults 18-49 (751,000), 141 percent in adults 25-54 (759,000) and 140 percent in total viewers versus the second quarter 2005 time period average, garnering 1.2 million viewers. The premiere also drew triple-digit increases in households versus season two in Boston, Hartford-New Haven, Providence, Richmond and Atlanta.
The second season of the breakout hit, "Blow Out" featuring salon owner Jonathan Antin styled its way to a strong start by posting double and triple digit increases versus the time period average at 9:00 p.m. ET last night, leading into "Queer Eye." The premiere achieved the highest delivery of adults 18-49 and 25-54, excluding the ‘Queer Eye’ franchise, since the premiere of season three of "Celebrity Poker Showdown" on July 8, 2004.
The episode posted increases of 164 percent in adults 18-49, 155 percent in adults 25-54, 97 percent in households and 90 percent in total viewers versus the second quarter 2005 time period average. The second season premiere averaged 465,000 adults 18-49 (up 19 percent versus the June 8, 2004 season one premiere) and 480,000 adults 25-54 (up six percent versus the June 8, 2004 season one premiere) and 661,000 total viewers (up two percent versus the June 8, 2004 season one premiere).
"Bravo has never had a more aggressive line-up of original programming than we do this summer and this is an absolutely great way to kick it all off," said Lauren Zalaznick, President of Bravo. "The reinvigorated ‘Queer Eye’ continues to be the leader in a lineup that includes nine series launches over twelve weeks."
On Sunday, June 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET, Bravo premiered the first interview with Angelina Jolie on a new episode of "Inside the Actors Studio." The episode averaged 0.52 household rating (up 53 percent season to date), 514,000 in total viewers (up 52 percent season to date), 396,000 Adults 18-49 (up 149 percent season to date), and 424,000 adults 25-54 (up 132 percent season to date). It was the highest rated episode of "Inside the Actors Studio" this season in both adults 18-49 and 25-54.
The June 1 premiere of "Sports Kids Moms & Dads" delivered increases of 42 percent in adults 18-49 and 24 percent in adults 25-54 versus the second quarter 2005 prime average.
