NBC’s Hit Me Baby One More Time has turned into a hit reality TV show. Realityblurred.com recently reported on an article in the Chicago Tribune that says NBC has already decided to add additional episodes. On the June 16, 2005 episode of Hit Me Baby One More Time, five groups/singers performed one of their old hits as well as a cover of a modern song.
Howard Jones sang “No One is To Blame” and “White Flag.” Irene Cara sang “What a Feeling” and “I’m Outta Love.” Wang Chung sang “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” and “Hot in Here.” Sophie B. Hawkins sang “Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover” and “100 Years.” Cameo sang “Word Up” and “1985.”
Last week, Vanilla Ice ran away with the show. This week the competition appeared to be much closer. Irene Cara won the audience vote, and she chose “Women in the Arts, Inc.” as her charity to receive a $20,000 donation. Viewers can vote on who they think should have won Hit Me Baby One More Time on the NBC website. In the NBC website poll, Wang Chung, Howard Jones, and Sophie B. Hawkins currently outrank Irene Cara.
