Deal or No Deal Offers Multi-Million Dollar Prize

NBC will broadcast "Deal or No Deal," a new unscripted series from the producers of NBC’s "Fear Factor" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" that pits in-studio contestants against each other in a high-energy match of nerves, instincts and raw intuition for a top prize worth millions of dollars. The announcement was made recently by Craig Plestis, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming & Development.
The series is based on a previous format by its production company, Endemol USA and is currently a success internationally, being broadcast in 38 countries.
"This series is a proven winner that challenges contestants to overcome their own nerves in a pressure-cooker environment," said Plestis. "There are no physical stunts or trivia questions to answer. In order to claim a fortune, the winner will essentially have to know when to say ‘when.’"

I wanted to suggest something about the Extreme Makeover Home Edition show.
To watch a beautiful home in Spingfield Mass. destroyed was almost unbearable to me. Their is such need for these homes right now in the Hurricane Areas.
Here we are building homes for Humanity on the Today show, and here you are destroying what I believe to be nice homes for ratings.
We are in Iraq right now because of oil, and here you are destroying what I believe to be salvagable homes that most people would love to have. Did you ever think about just moving some of these homes, or asking someone in that area to move these homes. The cost of getting rid of the debris might actually save you money. Your production team is ten miles away from me as I write this e-mail. Our local news if filled with the day to day activities of what is happening on this sight in Wells Maine. As a State Representative in Maine I see hundreds of people struggling to make ends meet. I deal with solid waste issues and landfills, and to watch these houses destroyed without a blink of the eye prompted me to write this e-mail. I even have friends missing work today to go and see this event. I know the ratings are what makes your bottom line, but could we not salvage these homes and get the best bang for the buck?
Just a thought from someone who just happens to care about recycling, and not wasting our finite resources.

Personally, I think this show is fake. If I was an investigative reporter — this is the show I would check out. The families don’t react the way that really seems true and lines seem scripted. Watch other game shows — people act differently on Deal or No Deal. I could be totally wrong — but time will tell.

I am a soon-to-be-divorced mother of 2 amazingly awesome kids. I am a Registered Massage Therapist in southern Ontario CANADA. I am charming and fun and would be such an awesome and inspiring contestant on the new Canadian version of DEAL, OR NO DEAL!!! When I win the big deal I plan to create education funds for my kids, buy a new home and take my kids to Europe to meet their older relatives. I might even squeeze some flying lessons in for myself!

I am an over worked under paid home depot employee that needs to win on DEAL or NO DEAl.
