Jackaay, Jaret, and Vanessa were the final three contestants going into the finale of I Want To Be A Hilton. As a way of narrowing it down to the final two, each contestant gets the opportunity to spend some alone time with Kathy Hilton. Jaret reads a touching poem to Kathy that put her in tears. Jackaay gets emotional with Kathy by telling Kathy about her parent’s separation. On the other hand, Vanessa keeps it more professional by talking about her goals and dreams of getting into fashion design.
The end result is that Kathy eliminated Vanessa, and Jackaay and Jaret are selected as the final two. For the final competition, Jackaay and Jaret have to write a speech. A professional speech writer and a speech therapist is sent in to help the contestants. The speech therapist teaches Jaret how to say, “I like to bake my bad bike.”
The contestants then have to deliver their speeches in front of a group of New York elite, friends and family of Kathy Hilton, and former contestants. Jackaay talks about going from a blue collar life to the good life. Jaret rambles on and on about how he just could not ever have imagined all this. He also talks about how all the stuff he has learned like how to “air kiss” is going to aid him in his life.
After taking a break to think things over, Kathy Hilton announces that Jaret is first on her list and the toast of New York. Jaret wins a prize package consisting of a museum pass, theatre tickets, a magazine cover appearance, a whole bunch of expensive stuff, and $200,000 in spending money.
