The following reality TV shows and reality TV stars were honored during The 2005 Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California. The 2005 Teen Choice Awards were taped on Sunday, August 14 but will not actually air until Tuesday, August 16 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox. However, Fox has already released the names of the winners. If you’ve been on the Internet or watched the news at all today, then probably any hint of a surprise about The 2005 Teen Choice Awards has already been spoiled, but just in case you don’t want to know the names of the winners, then you should stop reading now.
In the movies category, two reality TV stars won awards. Paris Hilton won Choice Movie Scream for her work in “House of Wax,” and Ashton Kutcher won Choice Movie Rockstar Moment for his work in “A Lot Like Love.”
In the television category, Ashton Kutcher won two awards, one for Choice TV Actor in a Comedy for “That 70′s Show” and one for Choice Male TV Personality for “Punk’d.” Also in the television category, American Idol took home the honors for Choice Reality TV Show.
American Idol also fared well in the music category. American Idol 1 Winner Kelly Clarkson won for Choice Music Album for “Breakaway” and for Choice Music Single for “Since U Been Gone.” Kelly proved to be a triple threat in the music category and also received the award Choice Female Music Artist.
In the history of the Teen Choice Awards, Punk’d host Ashton Kutcher has garnered 11 awards – the most by any individual — and has won in categories such as Choice Male Hottie, Choice TV Reality Hunk ("Punk’d") and Choice TV Actor, Comedy (THAT ’70s SHOW).
