Survivor Gautemala – Morgan McDevitt Voted Off

September 23, 2005 12:28 AM by Joe Blackmon

Survivor_tugofwarSurvivor Guatemala definitely has the toughest female cast in the history of Survivor.  Some of the men seem to be barely hanging on, while the women take care of nursing them back to health and feeding them.  Blake Towsley in particular appears to be struggling.  He constantly sleeps and rests while the others work, which makes him the Gervase of Survivor Guatemala.

The reward challenge is an obstacle course challenge.  Many of the Survivor’s struggle and are unable to complete the course.  Rafe Judkins falls off the rope climb into the water and has to struggle to even pull himself out of the water.  Nakum wins the reward challenge, and their prize is fishing gear.

The immunity challenge is a tug of war.  The group tug of war ends in a stalemate, and the tiebreaker is three individual tug of wars.  Judd Sergeant proves to be the MVP of his team and wins two of the three individual tug of wars.  Brandon Bellinger also wins a tug of war, and Nakum wins the immunity challenge in a clean sweep.

Danni Boatwright tries to out Gary Hogeboom to his fellow tribemates by telling Brian Corridan that Gary use to be a NFL quarterback.  Brian asks Gary about it, and Gary flat out denies it.

Jamie Newton of the Yaxha tribe attempts to start a plot to get Stephenie Lagrossa voted off.  However, his fellow castaways realize that they still need her for the competitions because she is such a strong player.  Tribe Yaxha initially targets Lydia Morales, because they perceive her as the weakest player.  However, Brian argues that Morgan McDevitt does less much work around camp than Lydia and manages to sway his fellow castaways into voting off Morgan instead.

It’s “my” hope that Lydia will win Survivor Gautemala. Aside from the obvious, which is it’s a game & every man for himself, Lydia has been the “ONLY” one to remain Human and to treat the other players as fairly as possible. Lydia rocks!
