September 28, 2005 11:04 PM by Joe Blackmon
As THE AMAZING RACE launches its new season, the reality show’s host Phil Keoghan doubles as the "CBS Eye on American" host in October. On THE AMAZING RACE — fresh off its third straight Emmy Award — Keoghan directs teams in a wild race around the globe. On "CBS Eye on American," he’ll lead viewers through equally compelling programming, including CBS News features on designer Ralph Lauren’s car collection and the world’s grandest private yachts; CBS Sports profiles of NFL stars like the electrifying Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick; and segments from the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN.
There’s also a special look at the hugely popular "Entertainment Tonight," now celebrating its 25th anniversary. "ET" host Mary Hart comments on the show’s great run and its many memorable moments.
"CBS Eye on American" — a 90-minute on a rebroadcast of video magazine featuring a CBS host — reaches millions of travelers each month on American Airlines with the most entertaining programming in the skies.
Each "CBS Eye on American" production includes features from the best of CBS, including CBS News, the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, CBS Sports and a full broadcast of a hit comedy such as THE KING OF QUEENS or TWO AND A HALF MEN. The program also includes features from Viacom cable networks such as VH1, BET, Nick at Nite, Showtime, TV Land and CMT.
Hosts of the award-winning "CBS Eye on American" have included some of the biggest stars on television: Kevin James from THE KING OF QUEENS; SURVIVOR’s Jeff Probst; David Caruso from CSI: MIAMI; Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer from TWO AND A HALF MEN; Mark Harmon of NCIS; and Greg Gumbel and Jim Nantz from CBS Sports.
