Survivor Panama Exile Island Cast To Be Announced On The Early Show

In a very under-hyped event, the cast of Survivor Panama Exile Island will be announced on the CBS Early Show on Monday, January 9, 2006. Unlike the last edition of Survivor where rumors about the participation of former NFL quarterback Gary Hogeboom turned the official Survivor cast announcement into a huge media event, there has been little mention in the press of the upcoming Survivor cast announcement.
The news of the Survivor Panama cast announcement was briefly mentioned in a recent press release from CBS about The Early Show listings for the week of January 9 through 13. There is also a video on the official CBS Early Show website that says the cast of a new edition of Survivor will be announced on Monday.
In the past, the entire cast of many Survivor editions has been revealed on various fan sites in advance of the official announcement, but only a couple names seem to have leaked out for Survivor 12. For those not afraid of spoilers, TrueDorkTimes.com has information of some of the potential cast members, including a former astronaut.
A preview video reported to be running on OLN appears on SurvivorFever.net and gives some information about the new tribe breakdown. According to the preview video, the sixteen castaways will be divided into four tribes. The preview video also says it will be “young vs. old” and “men vs. women.” One interpretation of this information could be a tribe of four young men, a tribe of four young women, a tribe of four older men, and a tribe of four older women. The preview also announces the premiere date for Survivor 12 as Thursday, February 2, 2006. The CBS Early Show airs on Monday, January 9, 2006 from 7A.M. to 9A.M. ET.
