The Bachelor Paris – My Eggs Are Rotting

January 10, 2006 12:19 AM by Joe Blackmon

Travis_allieHost Chris Harrison minces no words in saying that he thinks they have found their best Bachelor ever in Travis Stork.  Evidently the 25 girls competing for the new Bachelor’s affections appear to agree.  From the minute they spy Travis out the limousine window, they are all giggles, smiles, and excitement.

Any reluctance that Travis might have had in participating in The Bachelor isn’t anywhere to be seen as he greets and makes small talk with the girls like a polished professional.  One of the most energetic exchanges occurs when Travis meets Sarah Stone who turns out to be from his home city of Nashville.

When Travis reveals that he’s a doctor, the intensity level picks up even more.  Allie G, who is also a doctor, thinks that their common occupations will make her a shoe-in.  Allie G also makes it clear that she is there to find a husband and says “quite frankly my eggs are rotting.”

Travis has one rose that he can give out before the first rose ceremony.  Allie G tells Travis that she’s at the point in her life where she wants to more on to “the reproductive phase.”  Yvonne talks to Travis next and lightens the mood by letting him know that she’s not ready for the reproductive stage.  Susan seems to make a special connection with Travis, which makes some of the other girls nervous.

Travis gives his first rose to Sarah B.  The other eleven contestants who get roses during the rose ceremony are Cole, Moana, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Shiloh, Yvonne, Jehan, Susan, Tara, Sarah S from Tennessee, and Kristen.

Allie G flips out over not getting a rose and says “I cannot believe that he chose some of those women over me.  I direct my life toward my career, and he doesn’t choose that.  Just like every other man that I know.  It’s a double-edges sword.”  Allie G then goes on to tell the other girls, “The only reason I came on this show is because other methods aren’t working.  Internet dating, line dating, dating services, I’ve tried all of that, nothing.  I told him that I was ready to get my reproductive life going, because the only one reason to be married is to have kids.”

Allie G then confronts Travis and asks him why he didn’t choose her.  A distraught Travis tries to tell her that the reproductive stage is not what he’s looking for right now.  This only makes Allie G more upset and she responds “You’re playing around.  You don’t want reproduction.”  As Allie G leaves she declares, “He’s like every other stupid doctor I know.  He’s intimidated by another professional woman.  Maybe I just won’t date anybody anymore.  Maybe I’ll just join the convent.”

I don’t know what type of doctor she is but she needs to see a psychiatrist. She has some real issues that she needs to address before she should consider dating anyone. By the way if she is so ready to reproduce she should go to a sperm bank. She is looking for a donor not a real man. By the way most people marry for love and the babies follow as part of that total package. she sounded like she was shopping for something at the Piggly Wiggly. Wackie-Allie needs to check herself into a mental institution she sounds like she would stalk a man to make a baby.

She’s crazy all right. I wonder if any of her patients will feel differently about seeing her now. She was so crazy that I have to ask if she was just a purposely planted actress.

as a single female physician who is also 33, I was personally offended and outraged by her comments. I can tell you right now – that she DOES NOT represent us – or the opinions of other physicians. She obviously has some issues with her being single and is trying to blaming profession. But what she does not want to admit that maybe the problem is within herself. Just as she judged Travis for not picking her for saying “reproduction” – she should reflect on herself for wanting someone – anyone – to marry in order for her to reproduce without ever getting to know them personally. Despite her book smart – she missed the education on how to socialize and conduct yourself publically. I hope that she allows herself some self reflection about her opinions and maybe if she changes, she will find someone.

I, too, have worked with and for doctors for 25+ years. This lady was a NUTCASE. She said she was an oncologist in Delray Beach, Florida. Just because she is worried about her biological clock, that was certainly a crass and classless way to start a conversation the first time you meet someone. MOST doctors are not like her, thank goodness. This NUTCASE wouldn’t let the bachelor complete a thought much less a sentence.

Oh good – she is OFF the show!!! *L*

sarahs and travis don’t have a strong connection together. She is a nice girl. I don’t see sarah and travis together at all. I see Susan and Travis have a strong connection very well. they have alot common together. I don’t understand a lot people think Sarah is the one absouetly not. Travis like sarah. Put Travis have strong connection with Suan. I don’t understand that Susan is Faking. I think so. Alot people are lieing. They to watch the show closely with Susan and Sarah S. the opion I would say is: The next week it’s will be: Moana going home next week and the final two women are: Susan and Sara S from Nashville, TN. and the one would be Susan: You go girl Susan I love u so much Susan. I want to say this to Susan is: Don’t be scare, afraid or don’t give up BE STRONG!If you are scare or afraid get a deep breath and breath out it will help you. trust me. Travis choose Susan.

I watched the show and loved it!! It was comedy at its best. I can’t believe these women were for real. I watched every week as the women were crying and hyperventaling about a young man they DID NOT KNOW. I watched as they cried about being in love with this stranger…I just can’t believe this is real…I don’t want to believe it.
