Skating with Celebrities Results – Confusion Reigns

The scoring slate is wiped clean for the third episode of Skating with Celebrities. The celebrities are challenged to have synchronized footwork and to do a one-legged lunge. The background music for the skating is the soulful sounds of Motown.
Jillian Barberie & John Zimmerman start the show with an ambitious routine, but they don’t quite pull it off. Judge John Nicks says they were perhaps “foolishly ambitious.” Bruce Jenner & Tai Babilonia are up next with a beautifully synchronized performance. Judge Mark Lund says they were “two skating as one.” Dave Coulier & Nancy Kerrigan win the award for most unusual outfits of the night. Dave dresses as a woman, while Nancy dresses as a man. Judge Dorothy Hamill says “I thought it was fantastic.” Kristy Swanson & Lloyd Eisler put on a daring performance, but Kristy falls and cuts her chin. Judge John Knicks complains that Kristy was in the air for too long during the performance. Deborah Gibson & Kurt Browning give a safe but boring performance. Judge Mark Lund says “this program just didn’t excite me that much.”
The total judges scores for each performance are listed below:
Jillian Barberie and John Zimmerman – Score a combined total of 49.8 points out of 60.
Bruce Jenner and Tai Babilonia – Score a combined total of 50.1 points out of 60.
Dave Coulier and Nancy Kerrigan – Score a combined total of 49.7 points out of 60.
Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler – Score a combined total of 49.1 points out of 60.
Deborah Gibson & Kurt Browning – Score a combined total of 47.9 points out of 60.
After the Deborah & Kurt’s scores are announced as the lowest scores of the night, Host Summer Sanders talks to Kristy & Lloyd, who have just been saved from elimination. However, Kristy & Lloyd have forgotten their scores and they think they have been eliminated. Confusion reigns as Summer Sanders tells them that they are not going home. A baffled Kristy says “What the hell are you talking about?” Summer Sanders has to explain to them that it is Deborah & Kurt that have been eliminated.
