Dancing With The Stars Results – Lisa Rinna Eliminated

February 17, 2006 11:28 PM by Joe Blackmon

Lisa_last_danceThe judges did their best to send Jerry Rice packing, but the voting public came to his rescue.  The results show starts with the final judges’ encore of the series, which goes to Drew Lachey & Cheryl Burke.  After a recap of Thursday night’s performance show, Michael Bubli sings “Moondance.”

The judges offer their feedback on the remaining contestants.  There seems to be a large difference of opinion in regards to Stacy Keibler between the two male judges and the one female judge.  Len Goodman calls Stacy Keibler the “most naturally talented of all our celebrities,” while Bruno Tonioli raves about Stacy’s legs.  Carrie Ann Inaba however says Stacy “doesn’t communicate to us when she’s dancing, she looks pretty, she looks relaxed, it look’s easy, we all wish we could be like her, but I don’t know what she’s actually saying to us.”

In an interesting twist, Tom Bergeron steps away from his hosting job to dance the quicksterp with Ashly Delgrosso.  Michael Bubli also returns to sing “Save The Last Dance For Me.”

The hosts announce the couples continuing on in random order.  The first two couples that are safe are Drew Lachey & Cheryl Burke and Jerry Rice & Anna Trebunskaya.  In a change from previous weeks, the hosts make no declaration as to if the two remaining couples were the two couples with the lowest scores.  Stacy Keibler & Tony Dovolani are safe, and Lisa Rinna & Louis van Amstel are eliminated.

I feel the judge’s caused Lisa and Louie to loose with the viewer calles, because of thier attitudes to Jerry and Anna.
Jerry and Lisa were great at all dances and, Jerry was doing better every week ,but no where as good as Lisa & Louie .I think they praise Stacy way to much and she is no better than Lisa & Louie.Sharron in BC Canada.

i am so disappointed that Lisa is gone. There way to much praise from the judges for Stacy, even when they give her negative comments she comes out with a high score from them I don’t think they were fair to Lisa and Louie. Jerry should have been gone He is no comparison to Lisa and Louie. Well I guess it will be survivor from here out for me.

I was very disappointedin the elimination of Lisa and Louie I dont think I will continue to watch the show. I think it is not a representation of talent and I feel Lisa was just as good as Stacy. Lisa cant help it that she doesnt have the long legs that Stacy has. I feel Lisa gave all she could and it was very disappointing to see she and Louie eliminated. I am very disappointed in the show and I feel the judges made their decision for Stacy from the beginning of the show. This could have been a very good show.

Guess this just goes to show it isn’t about the dancing,it is about how popular you are and how many public people call in. Clearly Lisa and Louie were much better then Jerry and Anna. I think Jerry should have been gone, he is a ball player but not a dancer! I agree, if the judge gives bad comments about the dancing, how can you rate a high score from that same judge? Makes no sense to me.

Loved Jerry Rice as a football player…he definitely should have been eliminated…Lisa and her partner deserved to be in the finals..this show has become a joke…

    February 18th, 2006 at 12:15 am

You where robbed. There is no way anyone can win against some one that has such a voting base. What a bumb system. I will no longer waste my time watching such unfairness to a pair that out performed the worst group and got put out of the competition. I am descusted with the show. If Jerry was any kind of person he should have stiped forward and took himself out. There is no way he could beleave he won on his dancing talent.

  7. Ken Says:

Sorry, but there is no way Lisa and Louie should have been elimininated from the show this week. There is a very close race being run between 3 of the couples and then there is a 4th – and everyone watching knows who was 4th, yet their popularity won over true talent. Lisa was truly improving dramatically and should still have been in the competition.

  8. Harvey Says:

Wow. Jerry Rice could really win. That’s unbelieveable to me. Stacy is getting such a negative response from so many people, the real competition could be between Jerry and Drew and then anything could happen. The clothes these women wear is the same that other ballroom dancers wear. Its the same as ice skaters wear. What should women do, dress down? Hide their legs? I don’t get where people are coming from in this competition at all.

I’ve watched Dancing With the Stars for my last time. Tonight’s show was the pitts. There is no way in the world that Jerry and Anna are better than Lisa and Louie! I was totally disgusted with the whole thing. You need to reevaluate the show but I think it’s too late for me. I won’t watch it again!

I am so disappointed about Lisa and Lou being out of the show… Gerry and Anna were ok.. but I can’t believe this happened tonight.. I think Lisa and Lou were as good, if not better, then Stacy and Drew… I am not sure I want to continue watching this show.. if it is up to phone calls coming in.. this is not fair.. why are there JUDGES?

  15. Pamela Says:

Jerry and Anna have heart and soul and it shows in their dancing. Lisa worked hard but it looked like it. Her moves appear contrived. I feel the female celebs have it easier as the male professionals are used to leading. Jerry being the celeb and learning also has to learn to lead – not an easy task for a dancer. Drew had some musical background so he at least had the concepts to begin with. Stacey comes off as a natural- I am pulling for Drew and am so pleased Jerry made it to this point

I feel bad for Lou after tonight but I jst did not get into Lisa’s dancing. I couldn’t feel it like I can the others. Although Jerry doesn’t have it down pat yet one can feel the dance watching him and Ann. I just couldn’t feel the dance with Lisa and Lou.

Go Jerry. Not sure you’ll knock out Drew and Stacey but I’ve been rooting for you from the beginning. Drew-ignore the accolades the judges pay Stacey – She is good but you just go for it.

  18. Greg Says:
    February 18th, 2006 at 12:49 am

ABC better rethink the voting process on this show because after tonight’s show they’re going to lose viewers. This isn’t suppose to be a popularity contest, but a contest on who’s the best dancer. Jerry Rice should have been eliminated. Anyone watching could tell you that. The credibility of this show started going down when Master P was allowed to remain weeks longer than he should have and this just adds insult to injury. Lissa Rinna belonged in the finals, not Rice. The judges are just as much to blame. What was said about Rice last night caused a backlash, just like when they spoke out about Master P’s dancing. The fun has gone out of this show. I don’t care who wins now because it’s not a true competition.

  19. Ann Says:
    February 18th, 2006 at 12:49 am

Sorry folks but I don’t see that what Lisa is doing shows talent. She is a hard worker and has the routines down but I don’t see or fell talent. I think Stacey and Drew have great natural abilities, determination and style. As for Jerry I would dance with him any day and Anna is so much better than Lou.

  20. rc Says:
    February 18th, 2006 at 12:50 am

Could not stand watching Jerry and his partner. I especially did not like Anna and her snide comments. She should keep her mouth shut and should have taught Jerry to dance better. This show is a real disappointment and a farce. How dare Jerry and Anna beat out Lisa who really worked harder than Jerry. Go back to the football field Jerry, you do not have to have everything that you do not deserve.

  21. Aline Says:
    February 18th, 2006 at 12:51 am

A few weeks ago when Master ? was finally eliminated , I thought the show would now become fair, but no!! I am truly disappointed in people voting for someone because they are a fan only and not for their dancing skills ( as it should be). It makes for a half assed competition, not fair to the ones that are truly giving their all and showing they can learn, improve and yes, dance. For someone to win because they are well known, either in sports, TV, music industry, etc , when their dancing is just so so and not as good as the other competitors, just seems so ridiculous. If the people votes are making this happen, something has to be done in the future to make the voting “FAIR” to everyone. If Jerry thinks winning tonight over Lisa is because of his dancing, he is sorely mistaken. And Stacy’s legs is not an option to win either. Drew may have been in a boy band but he is proving he can master the art of ballroom dancing with Cheryl. Also: I cannot understand how 3 judges can have such different views about couples and how they should be dancing. Aren’t they supposed to know everything as experts. Len seems so critical while Bruno only sees “legs”. Anyways, tonight was sure a downer.

I agree the judges can make or break a dancer. I listen to their input and can for the most part agree with their technical input. I think if they would stick to their expertise you might get different results from the home voters. I, myself am please with this weeks outcomes. Thanks judges and voters I can’t wait to watch this coming week.

Last year, the best dancer was initially picked over John O’Hurley and the public bitched so much, ABC had to have a phoney dance-off in an effort to make everybody happy — which O’Hurley won. This year it looks like they corrected the weight of the voting so that they wouldn’t get in last year’s embarassing situation again. Only they hadn’t counted on a solid black, jock and goof-ball vote coming in to completely undermine any semblence of sanity in the results. This show has been a million laughs. Let’s all give Lisa a giant wet kiss goodbye.

  24. Mary Says:
    February 18th, 2006 at 1:09 am

Jerry Rice is a gentleman, but he has an attitude that he somehow deserves to win despite his inability to dance. Lisa Rinna was truly touched by every moment of the experience and clearly cared as much about everyone else as about herself. ABC needs to stop the audience voting for at least the final five couples. Why would any “celebrity” go on this show only to be voted off because they don’t have a room full of Super Bowl trophies. That shouldn’t have anything to do with it. Thank goodness I TIVOed “Survivor”. I’m cancelling my Season Pass to “Dancing With the Stars”. For me, the winner went home tonight and the show is over. So sorry, Harry. They done you and your wife wrong – big time.

Sorry to dissapoint, but it is a popularity contest and it has been for a long time. Lisa was such a great dancer. I really do think that based on perfomance, Jerry should’ve been elminiated. Now, Stacy is beginning to annoy me and I can see that she’s starting to annoy the viewers, too. Can’t she accept the fact she was at the bottom two for two weeks in a row? Oh, but of course she loves getting unfair perfect scores. Did you see her face? She was sooo angry that selling herself was in vain. What is she going to do next? Playboy? She said she wouldn’t, but tomorrow we’ll probably see her there. Get a reality check guys. The only reason you like Stacy is because of her legs and body. I mean every women wants to be like her physically, but her personality stinks. She isn’t a good loser and she can’t accept bad criticism from anyone. I so agree with what Carrie Ann said. She said that every women wants to have her body, but she doesn’t give that message through her dances. I wonder why…oh wait, she isn’t dancing! She’s seducing and if it wasn’t a family show she would probably strip. I told you it was time for her to get a reality check and look at how she reacted when she got that. Now, do you still like Stacy? She isn’t naturally gifted. She has danced before so that’s why she’s “good.” If she was THAT good they would’ve picked her for the memorable perfomance part. Tonight they picked Drew and Cheryl(second time) so what about Stacy? I thought she was the greatest in the universe? All I hear from the male judges is “Stacy has the sexiest legs.” And that’s true, but what does that have to do with her dancing? “Naturally gifted” …okay? Where’s the naturally gifted? Maybe in body, but not in dancing. I think it’s going to be between Jerry and Drew. They deserve it.

Lisa wasn’t my favorite, but she worked sooo hard and you could tell. She deserved AT LEAST the third place =(. Jerry or Stacy should’ve been eliminated tonight. I hate Stacy’s personality. She cannot accept the fact she isn’t perfect as her body. At least she gives the guys a boner, and thats the votes she gets. I loved it when the host said “Right now probably a lot of guys want to make out with you” omg that me laughed soo hard! And it’s so true! That’s the only thing she’s best at. Pick one guys:

    1) Eat dinner and dance with Stacy
    2) Get her in bed.

Pick one of those if you had one night to spend with Stacy. Would you spend that night dancing with her? You fools.

As much as I hated to see Lisa and Louis lose (and I was rooting so hard for them), what a lovely and eloquent departure they made. We all know that the cards aren’t falling as they should, but that’s what happens when you let the popular vote in. On the other hand, that’s the fun of it for those of us who love these shows; we get to be a part of it in some small way. I still have to giggle just slightly when I realize that there are great beer drinking, football lovin’ men watching this show! Maybe we are on the verge of a kinder, gentler nation. In the event Lisa should read these posts, thank you for your spirit and the strength enough to put yourself out there. I’m 57 years old, and some times I think I’m at the back-end of learning new lessons. But tonight, I saw sheer classiness that I can learn from. You did it, girl!

The dancing competition is really fun to watch. However, if this is a contest to see who is the best dancer, then the way it is judged is unfair. I love Jerry and think he has done a great job. Lissa was a better dancer and should have gone on to the finals. Leaving 50% up to the public just doesn’t work. They vote as a popular vote not a skilled dancer vote. Change the voting to reflect what the purpose of the show is. Many viewers with disappear who believe in the true nature of “Best Dancer”

This may be a virtual blog but the women who are spewing their venom against Stacy really do exist. They are really out there blind-siding others who are unfortunate enough to cross their paths. Hideous monsters aren’t just the stuff of legend. They are real. They slink in the shadows ready to devour the innocent happy normal humans whom they despise. If you know a woman who is nice looking, warn her. Warn your children. They are out there. They exist.

  36. Maria Says:

After Master P was kept alive solely because of a huge fan base, I predicted that these three would be in the finals. Nothing against Jerry personally; he seems like a great guy, but he is not a dancer. I mean, yeah, he’s a better dancer than I am, but he’s not in the same league as Lisa, Drew, and Stacy. I am very unhappy and have pretty much decided not to watch anymore. It’s just not even close to “reality.” It’s bull. And that’s too bad, because were it not overly dependent on “who you are” it would be a great show. Ah, well.

Jerry Rice is an okay dancer but he is a little stiff. Does anyone know if he was ever tackled and landed on something on the field? I was just wondering by the way he dances. Was there ever a story about Jerry Rice having a first down pole rammed up his ass or anything like that?

I was surprised when they announced that Jerry was staying but not really upset. When it was down to either Lisa or Stacy, I was hoping it would be Stacy to leave. I felt bad for Lisa. But it’s only a show people. Not really worth getting so worked up about. I hope Drew wins.

I see that Stacy was rude to Carrie Ann AGAIN tonight…she really thinks that Carrie Ann has been out to get her? Please. I think they put her in the last 2 to try to scare fans into voting for her and so the judges can say she has a big comeback next week. I’m not fooled.

I almost cried when Lisa got eliminated. She tried so hard and she never even got a single 10. If she had gotten just one 10, I think she would have been satisfied. She and Louis were just devastated. They really are platonic soulmates.

I hope Drew can pull this off. His rhumba with Cheryl was even better tonight.

The comment above that said the judges swayed the vote and cost Lisa to be eliminated is absolutely correct. When judges like Len Goodman comes out so strong and says someone is “The Worst,” it inspires their fans and people who would never vote, under ordinary circumstances, to do so. The judges should cast their score and make their OBJECTIVE criticism and let the audience form their own opinion. Len Goodman inspired the Jerry Rice fans. Lisa Rinna can thank Len…or the way the system is set up. Blame the system or the judges. Not Jerry Rice.

The comments against Stacy really make me sad. So what if she had dance training when she was a child? Drew was in a boyband and they dance in their videos and shows. You people also seem to forget that Drew was on Broadway last year, that’s singing and dancing, as well. Stacy isn’t a slut or anything like that. I’ve been a fan of hers since she won the Nitro Girl contest way back in WCW lol. That was a dancing contest, indeed. She’s not seducing, she’s just showcasing her natural talent. It’s not her fault she was blessed with 41.5″ legs and a perfect stomach. I also am pretty sure she won’t ever pose for Playboy. She’s turned them down three, four times. I respect her for that because she doesnt need to pose nude. Maybe Jerry and Anna dont deserve to be there, but alot of people who made it far, didn’t either. Drew and Stacy are the class of the field and Lisa couldn’t hold a candle to either one of them. I’m glad to see her gone because she continously played the underdog card over and over. THAT is annoying. I’m rooting for Drew and Stacy all the way because 98 degress was my favourite boyband back in the day lol. I do think it would be sad if Jerry and Anna did win…

You are not my first choice but I admire your strength, and do believe you should still be in the competition. Most of all I admire the love and mutual respect you share with your hubby. It is such a shame that Lisa Rinna won’t be in the finals. She definitely earned the right to compete with Drew Lachey and Stacy Keibler for the honor of being considered the best celebrity dancer. Watching a tightly contested finale between Lisa, Stacy and Drew would have been really fun to watch. Most of the attention would have been on the competition between Drew and Stacy, while Lisa could have pulled off a stunning upset (and a credible upset at that, as opposed to a non-credible upset like Jerry winning). Still, I don’t blame Jerry Rice or his fans or the voting public. Jerry simply worked his butt off and reaped the benefits of a flawed system in the show. Fans inevitably vote for their favorite celebrity regardless of the level of his or her performance. I do, however, blame the producers at ABC for allowing the show to lose integrity. Viewers’ opinions should not carry any weight whatsoever on the outcome of the contest. That decision should be solely left up to the judges, from start to finish. I think it’s okay to continue letting the viewers vote but ONLY for the purpose of comparing public opinion to the judges’ opinions. No disrespect to Mr. Rice but the worst thing that could happen to the show is if he actually wins the whole thing. He has a lot of heart and he has a “refuse to lose” attitude but let’s face it, he’s not finalist material. The show does not need to lose any more integrity than it already has. I hope that the producers at ABC learn their lesson before the next Dancing With the Stars series begins. Angry viewers don’t tend to forgive and forget.

I missed the show last night and was just logging on to see who was eliminated. When I saw Lisa and Louie I was shocked! Lisa is clearly a much better dancer than Jerry. I think if Jerry was any kind of a man he would back out of the competition and have Lisa put back in where he knows she belongs. I think this is just a big joke to Jerry. For gods sake he barely moved in any of the dances he did, he was so stiff and just not a dancer. I liked him as a football player, but now I think even less of him as a person because he knows he doesn’t belong in this competition anymore. BE A MAN JERRY AND ELIMINATE YOURSELF!!! Let the True Dancers Compete! (Lisa and Louie)
As for this show, I will no longer be watching, its more like a popularity contest than a dance competition!! You producers better find a new voting system, or you’ll find your show cancelled!!!!

Dancing with the Stars is not about who is the best dancer, rather who has the biggest following. Some of the best dancer are gone and Jerry is still there? Something is very wrong with the voting system. The show should be called, Who is the most popular?, it is certainly not about the dancing. I am totally disgusted. JERRY SHOULD BE GONE. Lisa was doing great and should have been rewarded. It was pure joy to see her improve each week. Bravo Lisa.

Lisa Rinna and Louis van Amstel were robbed! I hadn’t counted on becoming so emotionally involved in this competition. I had no desire to watch the first season of “Dancing with the Stars” because I thought it would be cornball for lack of a better word. Then all of my friends told me how good it was. So I promised them all that I would check out the second season. I watched as promised and was instantly drawed in by it all, not to mention continually blown away by the budding talent Lisa Rinna exhibited and how her partner Louis van Amstel helped her start to fine tune it. That woman had a gypsy inside of her that was dying to get out, and boy, did she unleash it thanks to Louis. I’m not afraid or ashamed to admit that I got choked up when Lisa and Louis were eliminated. It was like witnessing the evaporation of a dream. They had worked so hard, and she had bravely faced and conquered her initial nerves regarding dancing live that this *ending* just isn’t satisfactory at all. They both had so much more to do and now that they as a team won’t get to experience the thrill of getting a “10″ from one of the judges, or better yet, a perfect score of “30″ is totally disappointing. I wish the remaining three teams all the best as I know Lisa and Louis do. But for the life of me, I just can’t wrap my mind around the fact that Lisa and Louis won’t be apart of the finals like they completely deserve to be. The best thing I or anyone else who thought they were prematurely eliminated from the competition can do is to support them in all their endeavors from this point on. Lisa and Louis are a class act if there ever was one! Need proof? Look no further than how ungracious Lisa’s contemporary, Tatum O’Neil behaved when she and her dancing partner were eliminated in the second week. No competition here: Lisa and Louis are the real deal and here’s hoping that they both are blessed in unexpected ways as a result of their hardwork and involvment with the show.

When Len told Jerry he respected him as a sportsman but candidly told him he was the worst, he was speaking from his heart. What would you say to someone who is a nice guy and major football star but whose dances stunk up the studio? Jerry adamantly disagreed and it looked to me like Jerry really belivesd he was as good of a dancer as the other three. The judges aren’t to blame. Their scores are either identical or within one of each other, even with the nutcase threats they are receiving. Blame the fans sure but Jerry is arrogant and delusional. He shouldn’t be absolved from responsibility for cheating way better dancers out of their and our just rewards. Now, we all have to watch a show and hold our breath wondering whether the outcome is going to be idiiotic or not.

As a thirtysomething male who is planning on taking dance lessons because of the show, I have an incredible admiration for Jerry Rice.

His determination made him the greatest position player in the NFL. His workouts are legendary and he maintained a Hall-of-Fame level of play for 20 years.

Rice started this competition as a dancer I personally can relate to … a very mediocre one.

However, he has made mind-boggling strides because of his determination and passion to improve.

Hot-dogging, glitz and showboating have dominated the scene in sports and entertainment recently. It’s refreshing to see good-old fashioned hard work pay off.

Entering this last week’s competition, Rice had the odds clearly stacked against him. He was pitted against professional performers.
Stacy was a cheerleader — who acts every week on WWE shows.
Drew was a member of a boy band that relied on dancing during their performances to overcome their singing shortcomings.
Lisa is an actress who surely had to dance during some showbiz tryouts.

Probably the only place Rice danced before this show was at the bars at Mississippi Valley State 25 years ago.

Rice has performed with class and dignity while showing an extraordinary work ethic. He has transformed himself into a legtimate ballroom dancer.

Hopefully, he will win. He deserves it.

I don’t know why so many viewers are upset & outraged – or even a little surprised – at the lack of fairness with each week’s results. I think it serves the show right after the way they handled last season, i.e., having a ‘dance-off’ after the show had already ended & a winner had been named?! The greed of that show is at least partly responsible for what is going on this season; I hope this is their final season (of course, after we see who they bring back for the dance-off after the dance-off).

I was really disappointed in the end results last night. I felt Lisa had come such a long way from the beginning and truly danced up there with he best of them. I love Jerry’s spirit, but his dancing, he moves like Hermann Munster. This should be a judged by the judges only contest and not a phone in vote. I almost stopped watching when they kept Master Leadfoot on until they finally said bye to him and his over zealous dance partner. No I am reconsidering finishing. Either they change the way the voting goes or I’m so done

Everything has to have a new twist these days. You can’t just have a traditional contest. That’s old hat. Jerry and Master P have supplied the twists. They provide the suspense. Will the contest turn out fair or turn out like the OJ trial?

The rich effete whites of Hollywood, New York and Washington D.C are so far removed from real day to day racial injustices that end up with beat up or robbed whites being interviewed by cops, they can’t understand cops’ frustrated reactions to the world they and most of the rest of us live in. There would be less homeless if they were still called bums and there would be less knee-jerk bloc voting in the black community on any subject pertaining to race if Hollywood, New York and Washington weren’t consistently reinforcing black anger by acting like our world was the world of the South of fifty or more years ago rather than a world where there is no comparison between the amount of black crime against white rather than vice-versa. I don’t know any ethnic group who hasn’t had their share of being it, Italian, Irish, Native Americans, Mexican, Puerto Ricans but if you quiz opinions in these group, they are all over the board. The constant barrage of “baby-you’ve been F’d over” has created a pissed off black sub-culture that can always be counted on to base their every opinion on race.

They are very classy and gave me a lot of pleasure watching their dancing. Maybe the public vote shouldn’t count so heavily…apparently many of us don’t know a tango from a tackle. Unfortunatly someone had to go. In the end, it was up to the public votes, not the judges. I told my husband when I watched the first show, it would come down to Drew and Stacy and it still will be between the two of them. If we want to get mad at anyone, get mad and the voters. Jerry Rice can’t help it if the votes went his way.

I to am very upset about lisa being taken out last night. This whole thing is a popularity contest. Lisa is awesome and I watched her on days of our lives and still watch her on soap talk. I hope that drew wins now, but would like to see a dance off between jerry and lisa and only take the votes of the judges. We all know who would be gone. Not Lisa. I will no longer watch either just like the other people are saying. Lisa knows she should still be there but she is a class act and will take it with grace.

  72. Sammi Says:
    February 18th, 2006 at 11:33 am

Stacy had no right to be rude to Carrie Ann for giving her constructive criticism. It just shows her as immature and I think that will cost her in the end. She’s a wonderful dancer, but she should be able to accept some criticism.

Drew is also wonderful, and I hope he wins. I just wonder how his wife feels about is because she’s pregnant and feels all fat and ugly and Drew is always with Cheryl. I’m sure it’s ok with her, but if it were me, I’d be a bit jealous since I’d be all hormonal and feel undesirable to my man.

Jerry is adorable and is having fun with it, and shows the true spirit of what a contest like this is all about—to have fun and do your best. He isn’t the best dancer, but he tries. Anna did make some snide remarks, but I think Len is a bit too harsh sometimes.

Lisa was good, but I think it was time for her to go–not for her dancing, but for her health. I don’t know if anyone else noticed, but she got very skinny and looked exhausted this week. She has two girls to raise and she needs to be healthy for them. Her husband even commented that she was losing too much weight. She put enormous pressure on herself and I think she was going to end up getting herself sick at the end. I could be off base, but she can now take the time and rest.

I think it will be down to Drew and Jerry. Is it fair? Probably not, but as in the Presidential elections, people tend to vote for the underdog to keep votes away from the one they don’t like. Stacy seems to be getting too full of herself, and I noticed in some of her interviews when Master P was still on she was all like ‘he should go.’ She has the right to her opinion, but it made her look petty, and that could come back to bite her. The judges like her because she’s pretty and she plays up to that. She relies on their love for her and her body, so Carrie Ann’s criticism probably caught her off guard, and her attitude didn’t do her any favors. It was a small improvement comment, not like when Len was downright cruel to Jerry and Master P at times. They aren’t the best dancers, but they have fun and do what they can. There is no need for his cruelty. There are more tactful ways to get your point across without embarassing someone on national TV.

I really didn’t mean to ramble! I hope I make sense, I’m writing this before I’ve had my coffee!!

I think Jerry Rice is a great person, but he is not even close to being as good a dasncer as Lisa was. It is very irritating when you see such an obvious misjustice in a competition such as this. The voting weight should be lowered to 25% to eliminate the popularity factor. I feel people will quit watching the show if Jerry Rice goes any farther because his dancing skill doesn/t compare to the others.

It’s not fair that just because Jerry has a larger fan base that he should win over Lisa. – Jerry is a good dancer, but nowhere near as talented as Lisa. I also think that the judges used reverse physcology to keep Jerry in. – By stating he was the worse, they increased the amt of people calling in for the underdog. – I am so upset about Lisa being voted out, that not only am I not going to finish watching the end of this group, I will not watch any future airings of this show.

    1. She was trained in dance, however she was never involved in ballroom dance. To think that she is a ringer is unfounded. Training in one discipline does not make you ready for a another, regardless of how closely related. Would you expect a sprinter to be a ringer in a marathon? they are both a type of running…

    2. She has never displayed anything but class when judged. Also, she was not in the bottom two this week as spewed in the post by a venomous female, the saved dancers were announced “randomly”. That is why they did not say, “the two couples with the lowest vote…”

    3. It really doesn’t matter who is in the competition, there will always be someone out there that will try to cut them down. If you don’t like someone because you feel inferior, then you have a problem with yourself…

If Jerry wins and his win is suitably publicized, I think this show will attract a whole different class of viewers, morons who like to see failure rewarded and success punished. “Ooooooooooooo. Stacy and her partner were genuinely surprised by Carrie Ann’s comments that she did not “get” Stacy acting angry while dancing to a song in which the woman is supposed to be angry. Stacy’s amazement at Carrie Ann’s stupidity embarassed Carrie Ann who was just probably not paying that close attention to the words. I think that little moment of misunderstanding will be the straw that will cost Stacy the victory which is too bad. I think that ABC should have a better way on the voting system. I am disappointed that Lisa was eliminated before Jerry. Her dancing was much better than his. Lisa and Louis definitely got robbed last night. The way to fix this (if the producers actually care what we the public think), is to change the scoring system. As it stands, the teams are assigned ranking points based on where they finished in the judge’s scoring. This is the unfair part — because while Jerry finished some 13 points behind the leaders (Stacey and Drew) he still got one ranking point for finishing last- just 3 behind the leaders who each got 4 points (based on the number of couples in the competition). These points are added to ranking points assigned based on the popular vote. This automatically discounts the great disparity in Jerry’s score and throws much of what the judges decided (based on the actual dancing) out the window. A fairer system would be to assign points based on percentages. That is, for the on air scoring, a 55 out of 60 by the judges would be 92 points (55 of a possible 60), whereas Jerry’s 42 out of 60 would be 70 points. Then assign points based on percentages of the popular vote (total vote divided into the votes received by each team). Say there were 10 million votes. The worst dancer would have had to get the lion’s share of votes to overcome the bad score earned dancing. This isn’t perfect, because is does favor the votes of the experts a bit (but shouldn’t it – check out the Olympics scoring – no phone ins). I believe it would still be fairer than the present system. I’m sure someone could figure out how to improve on this approach – and get rid of the ranking point system now in use.

Does it really matter whether Lisa went before Jerry Rice ? For weeks its been overtly obvious who the final two are… Stacy and Drew. The others are just there to prolong the tedium of watching people shake their tush week-in and week-out.

The people did not vote on talant and Lisa has it and did so much better than Jerry. I will never watch that show again because it is very unfair. sonjah

Poor Lisa. I liked her and thought she tried hard. And she has a nice attitude, unlike that long legged slut who can’t take critisim. She thinks she’s the bomb, just because she is pretty. Stacy is more of a stripper than dancer, and she was one nasty C**T last night. I hope she trips over those legs and falls on her face.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the judges were reading this website and the comments. If that’s the case Carrie Ann’s comment was justified. Honestly, the ones who don’t like Stacy on this website talk about facts about what makes her so ugh. No one ever said that she was a bad dancer, but she isn’t naturally gifted either. And because of that the perverted guys on here are calling all the people who posted stuff against Stacy jealous just because they didn’t mention how pretty Stacy is. So now that a woman is saying that others would like to be like Stacy(body wise) you call her jealous? Make up your mind already. What I don’t like about Stacy is her attitude. Can’t she take a bad comment? Carrie Ann was right when she said that Stacy doesn’t give any messages, which is true. And she isn’t risking much. I think Stacy is used to get everything she wants from selling her body. Poor parents. When I saw them I felt bad for them, but then again it’s Stacy’s choice. Stacy was very angry when she heard she was in the bottom 2. She deserved it. She was doing so good before, but she had to blew it by dancing the easiest dances that she has previously danced about 3-4 times already. Carrie Ann was right when she said that Stacy didn’t need to make that angry face. There was no need. The song had nothing to do with being angry. She should’ve made a nostalgic face. If she was the greatest dancer ever the judges would compliment her every second on her DANCING, not on how pretty and long her legs are. Why did the judges pick Drew for the dance that really stood out? They haven’t picked Stacy, yet. When it was time to compliment the dancers they never complimented Stacy on how good her dance was. This week Stacy did not do a good job. I hope next week she picks something better that proves she deserves to win the competition. I think the winner will be Drew. Stacy is going down like a dot com. Before when there were more than 5 partners, Stacy stood up. Now that there are only 3, you can’t say she’s the best in the competition. Jumping and turning around is not what a dancer winner does. If she was that good she would’ve picked something more risky because she’s the best right?

Has it escaped people’s attention that Lisa turned down participation in season #1 because , “it was just another cheesy reality show.” Once it was deemed a ‘hit’ a quick change of mind. Save your energy, people; if they decide to again bring someone back for a dance-off after the show is ‘over,’ it probably wouldn’t be Lisa.

Lisa should’ve been on the finals. Jerry or Stacy should’ve been eliminated. Jerry is not the greatest dancer, but he works so hard and you can tell. Stacy picks the easiest dances and expects people to worship her as if she was “all that.” She isn’t even a good loser. Where’s your Stacy little sweetie now? No wonder why she’s a wrestler. Stacy was expecting a perfect score after dancing a quickstep which she has done 3 times? Please! Where’s the effort there? If she was THAT good, she would’ve picked tango or at least samba.

She has taught me alot about committing oneself to a project and goal and while I am sad to see her go, I would not expect anything less that a classy departure. You are one class act Lia and should be proud of yourself. Like many of the other viewers, I am not sure I will continue to watch “Dancing With The Stars”.

The current voting system favors people who can attract voting blocs. My theory is that the show was not that well-known among bloc voters last year. This year it is with the result that the bloc-backed contestant will get votes no matter what they dance like.

Two possibilities for this year: Either this year’s lousy bloc-backed contestant will win and ABC will have to modify the rules or risk nobody watching the show or he will not win which will cause a non-lousy bloc-backed contestant to be sought for next season — and she will win.

In the end, the show did exactly what they wanted to do…made us (the viewers) sit up and take notice and TALK about it!! I wish people wouldn’t be so spiteful, though. Some of the things people have said about some of the celebs are really hateful. After all, how many of us know what any of them are really like??? I’m happy cause the show inspired my husband to take ballroom dance lessons with me, mainly cause he doesn’t want me to dance “like that” with some other guy…Bless his heart, anyway. I’ve enjoyed all the dancers (well, OK, maybe I could have done without a couple of them). I will miss Lisa & Louis tremendously and think they deserved better, but it’s not the end of my world…or theirs, more than likely.

  127. Mr. Infallible Predictor and his clever code Says:

I want to clarify though that they won’t be modifying the rules this season. Just next and that will happened only if the lousy bloc-backed candidate wins this year. (If they don’t change the rules after that the show will be history).

Just curious what was out there on this show. Found this forum. I don’t watch much TV. This show, however, drew my interest as it struck me as a “real” reality show, which I generally despise as something that people who don’t have real lives watch. (Present company excluded, of course).

My take: Lisa is a better dancer than Jerry. Jerry’s reaction to “definitely coming back next week” last night, just as the spotlight was being turned off of him, was one of total shock, as the camera caught him turning and doubling over. He also had tears in his eyes last night as they all bid farewell to Lisa. She is a class act. And therefore, she would never degrade herself to come back on the show if Jerry decided to bow out voluntarily (which he would never do either, regardless of how bad he felt about the situation, because it would be an enormous slap in the face to his fans who voted for him. He would never do that to his fans – although some Pro athletes would, and have – because that action in itself shows a total lack of class).

On Stacey – OK, gals. Admit it. some of you are not voting for her strictly out of jealousy. My wife has never voted for her, and never will. When I asked her why, she admitted that her legs are too long and she was jealous. I am sure she is not the only women out there that won’t vote for her SOLEY for that reason. Her reaction to Carrie Ann’s comments WAS justified. Stacey had focused ALL week on just that priority – facial expressions and conveying a message. She even brought in a drama coach/actress to help with JUST THAT aspect of her dance. She is competitive. Anyone who worked like that on a particular aspect of anything, and then told specifically that it didn’t work, is going to react. It’s like getting punched right in the gut, emotionally. Most of these leg haters on this forum would probably react similarly, or worse, in the same situation.

Finally, it is only a TV show. I’ll watch it just for the real human drama, similar to a sporting event – real life winning and losing.

I would be great if some of these “passionate” posters here would be that passionate about their own lives and goals. After all, how much did your net worth, or bank account grow because you so involved yourself in this show? Is your family relationships getting stronger, because of this show? Did you move closer to your 5 years goals on health and financial freedom due to the fact that you are so angry over a show, whose outcome has NO direct bearing on your future success as a person, that you are not going to watch this show ever again, and teach ABC/Disney a horrible lesson that will drive them into Chapter 11? If some of you – and you know who you are – were as passionate about your budget as you were about the voting on this show, your checkbook wouldn’t be in the “red” so much.

Did you ever wonder why no TV producer ever came up with a show where people just sat around a TV all night and watched it??? Way to boring of a lifestyle. Wouldn’t even make a good comedy. Some of you should get a clue.

Did I mention that I love you all??? =)

we have watched this show since the beginning and it was exciting to see the progress every week. Lisa has become and excellent dancer, and deserved to stay in the competition. Jerry should have not stayed just because he has a lot of football fans, this is supposed to be about dancing, not long legs and who has the most fans. This show has become nothing more than a popularity contest. Even our 12 year old daughter was able to figure that out.

I thought it was just a reality tv show. Just because people don’t vote for Stacy doesn’t mean they’re jealous. Hey, even some guys don’t vote for her. And yea right, I’m sure your wife admitted that. I bet Stacy gives you a boner that’s why you voted for her. Admit it if you are man enough. I just don’t like Stacy’s personality. I voted for Lisa. And I have voted for Stacy before when she danced tango. So I guess all Lisa, Drew and Jerry fans are jealous of Stacy? Yes, it was justified, but what Carrie Ann said was true. Being angry had nothing to do with the song, but Stacy did her best. She needs to learn to accept bad comments. And what about on the night results? She was so angry because she was in the bottom 2. And she kept her angry face even after they announced Lisa was eliminated. Was that justified? She should’ve been sad not angry. Why was she angry? I guess it didn’t work out as she planned. She deserved it to make her realize she isn’t that perfect.

I may agree on some of your points, “Anonymous”. Stacey’s whole attitude was noticeably sour during this last show – seemed like something was sticking in her craw. Not very endearing at all. I was going to mention that Carrie Ann’s comment may very well of been sincere. I may have been a little over zealous my “leg haters” comment. After re-reading that, I believe that is over the line and I will withdraw that comment. I still believe that there are a lot of women who refused to vote for Stacey, strictly for jealous reasons. Most people don’t admit they are jealous. This is not meant a putdown – it’s simply human nature. I wouldn’t expect any different demographics in our little group here. I have a great wife, who is a very loving person. I don’t believe she is out of the mainstream of female thought patterns. She does have a tendency to express her feelings more than most, however.

BTW, I have never voted for anyone on this show (I have watched every show Thu & Fri nights). I will continue to watch it, strictly for it’s entertainment value, not for it’s “life changing” value. I don’t take it that seriously, I guess. My wife likes to vote. That’s fine. I don’t care.

While I will take back some of the strong things I posted, many I won’t retract. I must note though – and I’m sure it is very noticeable to everyone else reading this thread – that I must have struck a nerve with you, as you felt led to violate forum rules and personally attack me. The purpose of this forum is to express views, while not violating the below posted rules. The fact that you posted “anonymously” also lets everyone else judge your character in a negative way. I take it you are a female by your “illegal” comment?

Oh, I’m sorry, moderators. I hope those last comments didn’t violate the “personal attack” rule. Delete this if it is so deemed.

I understand why some might have mean-spirited comments about the dancing techniques of one person or another – either you like the dancing or you don’t. What I really don’t get are the nasty sour grapes comments (probably from jealous women) about Lisa’s looks. She is hot. Period. Hotter than Stacy (I am 5’10″ and wouldn’t want a woman towering over me like the jolly green giant). Lisa’s lips are naturally full – isn’t that a desirable trait? Why all the catty comments. She’s gorgeous and I for one will miss seeing her again.

This is still a dance competition. Not a beauty contest or a contest on who is the most improved dancer. The dancers should not be judged on the basis of the length of their legs or the size of their lips OR their color. It is obvious that those that are voting are not voting on that basis and that is why we are seeing the results that we are seeing. This is a very entertaining program and lots of fun to watch. Voting America cannot be trusted to make the final decision. I think it should be the judges or maybe the studio audience. How disappointing. Jerry has tried hard and has improved, but in the top 3??? I can’t wait to see what America thinks next week — that Jerry is better than Stacey or Drew?? Come on, we’re a little smarter than that, aren’t we?

Yes everyone, Stacy is beautiful. And her body is like a goddess. But a pretty girl can turn ugly very fast with a lousy attitude. She expects to be worshipped for her beauty, and thinks Carrie Ann doesn’t like her because she’s jealous. A vain, stuck up, trashy slut like her is no longer beautiful. And on the inside, she never was. She’s a rude witch, with moderate talent at dancing. Stripper dancing is different from ballroom.

  145. Anonymous Says:
    February 19th, 2006 at 1:12 am

I don’t vote every week, but I voted for Lisa last week and for Drew 2 weeks ago. I do not like Stacy’s attitude. She might be all beautiful and whatever you think, but she doesn’t have the personality of a winner. She’s a wrestler so I guess we can all expect her to act angry at every situation. What Carrie Ann said was true. Do you think Stacy took a risk at all last week? No, of course not. She picked for the second or third time the same dances. Why?Because they’re easy. At this point of the competition those dances are easy, especially if you’ve done them 3 times. So really she didn’t put effort at all last week. I guess she isn’t that great dancer you all thought she was. I thought she was a good dancer, but after last week, I just think she’s trash. She can’t lose. She can’t accept bad comments. Last week she showed her real self. Is that the type of woman you thought she was? Don’t let her body fool you. She just gives pretty women a bad name. She might not be a slut (we don’t know whether she is or not, but you can tell she isn’t at least a virgin) but she acts like one and thats why people think she’s a slut. She modesl lingerie, poses almost nude or covers her “private” parts. She’s just used to that type of environment. Have you seen her on WWE? Is that a respectful way to behave? Oh for guys, of course it isn’t. They’re probably expecting her to kiss Carrie Ann (poor Carrie). If a teenage or an 18 year old behaves that way, people go like “omg that’s innapropiate, lock her out.” But if someone like Stacy does the same thing, it’s okay? People need to make up their minds. They should make a people “bible.” On what’s right and what’s wrong in their point of view, that way we can go back to check it out whenever you say women are jealous when they don’t vote for a certain woman.I’m a woman and I just don’t like Stacy’s personality and behavior. Does that make me jealous? Oh, but my favorite was Lisa. And Lisa has an amazing body for her age. So am I jealous? Stacy is also beautiful, but everything is not beauty guys. A “Dancing with the stars” winner should be a good dancer, should have a good personality and should be overall a role model. Would you like it if your 12 year old became a mini Stacy? Stacy is giving the wrong message. Selling yourself is not a way to get what you want. If you agree with that behavior, let your kid do the same thing because it’s okay right?

All I have to say is that, it isn’t really in our hands. Even if it’s unfair. Complaining will not do anything. Also, my favorite was Lisa. She worked so hard and improved A LOT. If you people don’t want us to judge others (like Stacy for example) then don’t judge us. Stacy is not my favorite, but that doesn’t make me a jealous b****. I just can’t stand her attitude. We all have different opinions. Is it fair to say that because a guy doesn’t like Drew that means he’s jealous of him? Or I mean you are jealous of Jerry because you don’t like him. You don’t want others to call Stacy or anyone a “slut,” but you can call others jealous because they have a different opinion?

Obviously, not all women who don’t vote for Stacey are jealous. Some of you are objecting way to strongly to that assertion, however. “Me thinks, thou protests too much.” Seriously, do you hear a whole lot of people – either men or women – running around telling others how “jealous” they are??? Nobody does that. Yet how many really are “jealous” (some enough to drive them to criminal activities) of not only someone else’s looks, but also of someone else’s accomplishments, promotions, luck in the lottery, financial success, even someone else’s good health, and even how happy someone else’s life is. Think about it. Jealousy is a huge underlying human emotion, and a tremendous driving force in our everyday lives. About the only way someone can can overcome these “natural” tendencies, is to actually have an awareness of this human emotion by reading (the Bible would actually be a good start for some, as others earlier have alluded to) and gaining a strong enough sense of confidence – not an unhealthy “cockiness” – in themselves, so that they can actually be happy for the success/good looks/health/etc of others. Some of you who proclaim you are not jealous, and that it is another quality of Stacey – or anyone else – that has you infuriated, were actually just waiting for something to blame your underlying emotions on. Stacey surely gave that oportunity this past week, with her obvious sour attitude that closely resembled pouting (IMHO). Look what happened here… Again, I will qualify that not all women are jealous. Some have the self-confidence to easily overcome that base human emeotion. But I’m telling you that MOST people don’t have that training and self-awareness. That is a FACT! And many of those will deny it to the death. Don’t take my word for it. Consult a professional in the field of psychology. See what they say about this.

Where is Dr. Phil when you need him. He would have a field day on this forum.

PS: This is NOT a personal attack on anyone. If someone said they have never ever been jealous, ever in their life, I would say that either they were just born or a liar. I certainly am far from perfect. (Don’t tell my wife though – I think I almost have her convinced – NOT). It’s like Obi Wan said to Luke: “Luke, search your feelings… search your feelings.” Those who come in, screaming in total offense to this post will reveal yourselves. Those people who truly have justifiable, other issues with Stacey, or someone, will probaably not even bother with responding.

Just another note: Aren’t ALL professional wrestler SUPPOSED to be a little (maybe a lot) arrogant? I thought it went with the territory.

You really can’t look at the personalitys of people, because we all know we have actors we like to watch but some of them have no personalitys we also read..it’s the talent and skill that they have we have that makes them great.

Lisa and Louie should never have been eliminated. It should have been Stacy, Drew, and Lisa in the finals. That would have been a fair and real competition. Lisa became increasingly better each week. Stacy and Drew were always good. But Drew deserves to win the whole competition. He has class and great dancing skills. I think Lisa could have possibly upset it though. She was becoming very good. I had a feeling that Lisa was going to be eliminated, unfairly, and Jerry was going to stay. The last few weeks definitely became a popularity show for Jerry. The audience chanting “Jerry, Jerry”. It was sickening. He truly cannot dance. Deep down he knows that. He just wants to try and prove everyone wrong. Those that don’t vote for him. He’s going to show them that he can win. If he should happen to win, it won’t be a dance competition. For weeks now I’ve thought Drew should win. But I do think the competition is between the wrong three. I think it’s a little embarrassing to Jerry to still be in the competition. I don’t know how he can dance next week knowing that he truly shouldn’t be there.

All you people calling Stacy a “slut” and ragging on her looks are immature.

I think her dance to “Since You’ve Been Gone” was great and her facial expression worked perfectly. In my opinion if you fit the lyrics and music with the dance they were doing it worked out great. Basically they were using the lyrics for a base because it’s about a woman who has been left by her boyfriend and she is better off. In their dance he comes back and obviously she isn’t going to great him with a big smile and open arms. It was a very nice protroyal and I think Carrie Anne was just to dense to realise it.

Stacy has recieved criticism before but to have one of the judges completely miss your point in semifinal week is heartbreaking. Most of you would react the same way if it had happened to you.

She was NOT in the bottom two if you listen to the words that were spoken. She is a dancer, yes, but it is not strip dancing like someone up there said.

It’s a shame this forum has erupted into something ugly and viscious.

  159. Katrina Says:
    February 19th, 2006 at 2:47 pm

I don’t have photographic memory, nor did I tape the show, but I truly don’t remember Stacy reacting to criticism any more negatively than any of the others did at one time or another. Drew made his “little blue pill” comment, Jerry disagreed with the judges and George H. let his jaw drop in disbelief a time or two. It’s a bit of a stretch to see Stacy’s frown and equate that to “expects people to worship her”, “vain, stuck up, trashy slut”, “rude witch”, etc.

Did Carrie Ann not see the clip we saw, which explained the purpose of the angry face in that particular dance? Maybe Stacy didn’t pull it off the way Carrie Ann wanted, but everyone viewing understood why it part of the dance. I’d frown, too, if I were Stacy, and would wonder if Carrie Ann was daydreaming during the rehearsal clip.

As far as Carrie Ann wanting more from her, isn’t it the pro partner who comes up with the routine? Aren’t they responsible for making sure a rumba (or whatever) has all the moves it should? This, of course, applied to all the other times the dancers were criticised for not having enough of the right moves for their dances.

If the results, as some suspect, are “fixed” somehow, it may be that Jerry moved forward because of Anna. It occurs to me that everyone might be afraid of her: the producers, the judges, Tom B. and maybe even the cameraman. Heck, I’m afraid of her and I live three states away! ;O) WWE should look into hiring her. I’ll wager she’d make mincemeat of those other ladies!

Use common sense. This is the first time they said the votes have been randomly. They never said that when others were in the bottom 2. But of course last week since “Ms. Perfect” was in the bottom 2, they had to say that. Use common sense. If she got the highest votes, do you think she’d be battling to stay with Lisa? She was in the bottom 2. If she really got the highest votes, they would’ve said she was going to the next round before anyone else.

“since u been gone” is not all about being angry. The whole time they were both angry. The song is about sadness and being angry. They needed to combine the expressions. I agree that it was justified that she defended herself when Carrie Ann commented her. But, are you going to tell me that she risked a lot last week? No, she didn’t. So I agree with Carrie Ann there. Now, when the other couples were eliminated past weeks. They didn’t get angry. They didn’t turned their backs to say good-bye to the eliminated couple. They were sad, but they weren’t angry. Why would you get angry? Even if Stacy is a wrestler she needs more auto control. So, if a guy rejects her, is she gonna be angry and punch him in the face? That says a lot about a person. When Lisa was eliminated Stacy was still angry, and she didn’t say good-bye to her and looked around angry until the end. When the show was ending, she hugged Lisa, but you could see in her face that she was still angry. That wasn’t justified. She isn’t a good loser.

I am thoroughly disappointed that Lisa and Louie have been eliminated. Think they were the best since the very beginning of the show. They were dynamic, they had chemistry and they had fun out there which really showecased their talents. While I love Jerry Rice as a football player he is NOT a dancer. He’s awkward and stiff out there on the dance floor and as a result comes off looking stupid. He’s a fierce competitor and always has to be number one and that I think is the problem. He’s so focused on winning that having fun doesn’t even enter into it. He however is expremely popular and I thinks that’s the key. I also think the judges comments have alot to do with it. Len Goodman telling him he was the worst on the dance floor last week boosted his popularity with the public. In any case it will be no fun to watch any longer. I also think that ms. Blondie long legs is way over-rated. All I can say now is I hope Drew and Cheryl take it home.

Stacy is the best dancer, and – let’s admit it – clearly better that Lisa. If she’s also the best looking competitor on the show, so what?!

Like Tweety says, Stacy’s costumes are the same as those worn by other female dance competitors. That’s what’s expected of women dancers (and figure skaters), so why get down on Stacy?

And by the way, does anyone around here know how to spell? Or know the difference between “there”, “they’re”, and “their”, for example? So sad.

Stacy is NOT the best dancer. She’s a good dancer, but the best dancer in the competition is Drew. If she was the best dancer the judges would compliment her on her dancing, not legs. Remember the section when the judges pick the best dance of the night before. They haven’t picked Stacy’s, yet. If she was the best, they would’ve picked her at least once. They’ve picked Drew twice. Drew is the best then Stacy.

Reading these comments are better entertainment than watching the show. ABC needs to clarify what is the SOLE purpose of the show? Is it popularity? Overall effort/improvement? Beauty/Sex Appeal? Or dancing skill? Personally I think it should be based upon effort and improvement, in which Lisa and Jerry would be vowing for the prize. Statuesque Stacy, admittedly beautiful and leggy, has had formal dance training. So has Drew…which gives them the advantage, in my mind. They should take people who have had NO previous dance whatsoever in their resumes, and go from there. That’s where Jerry Rice is getting his votes (one being from myself, because he is completely out of his element.) Lisa has all of the heart and ambition, which how can you not admire that? Now that Lisa was unfairly eliminated…go Jerry!

Great Katie! Do I get a cut of any profits? :) You didn’t buy a powerball ticket in Nebraska, by the way, did you? If you did, I hope I can be counted as one of your friends. $363 million would almost pay off my bills… Just kidding.

This dancing contest reminds me a lot of sports… football specifically. Think about it. How many times have you seen a team win the AFC or NFC championship game against a team that they should not even have been on the same field with? They beat a team that they would have lost to, 9 times out of ten. The other team had better talent all across the board. I’m telling you that the fans of the losing team are usually irate – and for a long time. This also is not a phenomenom restricted to the sport of football, but I’ll continue with this for an example.

This underdog team, that really shouldn’t be there, goes into the Super Bowl. I’ll bet they are NOT thinking, “You know, that team we just beat really was a better team than us. They had a much better record than us (Pittsburg vs Indianapolis this year?), and they have 10 players going to the Pro Bowl – we have one. We feel kind of guilty. Maybe we should pull out, forfeit, or something and let the better team play in this Super Bowl, because… well, actually… we’re pretty embarrassed about the whole thing. We don’t deserve to be here. You could really feel the love as we apologized to them on the field after the game. We felt so bad for them, there were tears in our eyes.”

Jerry Rice is probably fired up and going after first place on this show. Does he think he should be there? I can tell you that Jerry Rice has played in enough Super Bowls and Pro Bowls, to where he would tell you, “Doesn’t matter. I’m here to win. Period.” That’s the way he has been trained to think throughout his entire career – not, “Gee, I wonder if this is really fair. After all it’s just possible they really were a better team than us.” Would I have voted for him? No. I don’t vote, but I believe Lisa is a better dancer. She just didn’t win this time. She’s deserving and might have beat him 9 times out of 10 – but she didn’t. Still a mark in the “Win” column for Jerry – that’s all that matters in the end.

Pete Rose, back in his heyday (before his gambling days) was the first professional baseball player to ever get a $1 million annual contract (anyone remember those days? I didn’t think so). When a reporter asked him point blank on live TV what made him think he was worth a million dollars a year? I have always remembered his quick and decisive reply – which ended the interview: “Because I can get it”. Pretty profound.

What makes Jerry think he deserves to be where he is in this competition? Because he got there. End of interview.

  173. des Says:
    February 20th, 2006 at 12:22 am

Also, forget to add – life’s not fair. Oh… you’ve heard that??? Sorry.

Also, I think some may be getting the wrong impression of Jerry Rice’s “nice guy” image. I don’t think you get to be a Super Bowl MVP by being a “nice guy”. Just my opinion. I don’t think that when he was running downfield to throw a block on a 240 lb linebacker, that he ran up to him and said, “Excuse me.” I just think he is smart enough to cover some of that intensity during this competition. He could give Stacey some lessons. I think she lost her composure this week, and with it went her momentum. I think she should be in the finals, based on her dancing, but something was definitely eating at her this week.

Something else to contemplate… you know all these “stars” do have personal lives. And things DO go wrong there occassionally. (I know – not with you guys). But maybe something happened that we don’t know about, and that had nothing to do with this competition, that caused her to “flat line” this week. I don’t know… just a thought…

I think these whole complaining is a way to relieve stress. We all have different opinions and ways of looking at things. Some people think wearing a little bit of clothes is right and some don’t. I think complaining, assuming and accusing people is not right. We don’t know who’s a slut and who isn’t. We don’t know whether the voting system is broken, or it’s just that viewers seem to like Jerry more. No matter how much we complain. They won’t listen to US. I think the next voting system should be like in America’s funniest home videos. And they should tell you the percentage of votes. It will make it more fair and easier to understand.

At least you didn’t say that the show should be called, “Dancing with the Niggars”. Reading many of the other comments here would lead you to believe they should change the show’s name to “Dancing with Whor-ars”. I disagree with the people who believe that the votes for Jerry and Master P just came from African Americans reflecting their bias or that the votes for Stacy are just based on sexual attraction. The show involves the viewers which adds fun but also unpredictability and a degree of chaos. Both Jerry and Master P are much better known than Stacy, Drew, Lisa or many of the others so it is not surprising they would pull in votes from their fan base in the same way that George Hamilton pulled in votes from his. I didn’t hear anybody suggesting the show change its name to “Dancing with Old Farts” when George was surviving beyond what his dancing merited. The way everyone is reacting around here next they’ll be demands for re-counts and complaints about the ballot being too complicated.

i’m still a fan of this show…where else can people see that you can step out of your famous “role” and try something new — workiing so hard that it becomes one of the most important goals for you?!?

I agree that Jerry is not as polished or shows the finesse of the other celebrities, but where do you learn that on a football field?! his heart is in this, his family is cheering him on, and he admits that this is the hardest thing he’s ever done in his life! does that mean he deserves to win? no, it just means that he stands for something really important … hard work, stepping out of your comfort zone to take a risk, and not giving up! That ranks up there in my set of life values! What a role model!

as for other aspects of the show — please get the judges (Lou and “sexy-leg-makeout” guy) back to judging objectively — they are rude, pejorataive, condescending and a disgrace to the elegance and class of ballroom judging. their comments have a profound impact on viewer votes, and sometimes the results aren’t what they want. maybe a new panel of judges next season???

I think that this show is rigged. Regardless of how votes turn out, the network will keep who they like and who makes for interesting television. Half of these people weren’t really known in the mainstream. For example, I’d never heard of drew,Stacy, Giselle or Master P. But they kept Master P around because he was funny, and generating a lot of buzz. Personally I thought he was a lumbering gorilla. Now Drew is kept around, rightfully so because of his talent. Stacy is kept around because of her looks and slutty attire. And Jerry is the nice guy everyone likes who tries hard. But Jerry isn’t that great of a dancer. Don’t care who wins as long as it’s not the tramp. By the way, I am gay. So don’t assume I hate her because I couldn’t have her. Wouldn’t take her and her v.d. if she was wrapped in gold gossamer silk. And Bruno is disgracing himself with his enthusiastic praise of her legs. They are just legs.

Drew rocks. Talent, talent, talent. And may I add that he is certainly not getting by on his looks! He dances great, and should win the whole thing.

Stacy is pretty. Her legs are long and lovely. I don’t think unkindly of her because she’s attractive. So are lots of women, Angelina Jolie,Julia Roberts,Liz Hurley, I could go on. So as a secure woman,I don’t hate every pretty woman or call them sluts out of jealousy. However……..Stacy acts like a total slut.Parading half naked in front of the military, sitting her butt between two male judges, shaking around like she’s in the bedroom, dancing with moves like a stripper instead of ballroom dancer. She’s trash and should never have been allowed to hang aournd this long.

Carrie Ann has a momentary lapse and doesn’t get Stacy’s act. Stacy begins to believe Carrie Ann’s mistake wasn’t just a mistake but that that bitch must have it in for her. Carrie Ann doesn’t appreciate having her mistake pointed out on national TV and starts to have it in for that bitch, Stacy. Master P and Jerry — why are they advancing? Let’s see what do they have in common? Why, of course, they’re both black. Angry whites complain about biased black voting. Their anger angers blacks who make it a point to vote for the black star who is being unfairly attacked. And so it goes. Reality Shows provide good lessons about how people can jump to wrong conclusions and then how those mistakes can snowball and miraculously transform into the truth. None of us are safe from this kind of wrong thinking even when it seems so right.

I voted for Lisa and had no problems with the phone line. If the phone lines were busy a lot of times, keep in mind other votes didn’t make it through and those votes weren’t necessarily for Lisa.

Jerry: He isn’t the best dancer, but he puts in a lot of effort. This is Dancing with the Stars. Stars who haven’t had any dancing trainning in the past. Lisa and Jerry should’ve made it to the finals because the meet the REAL requirements for the show.

Drew: he has only has dancing trainning for the movie Rent. This show isn’t really based on dancing. I thought people would’ve noticed by now. Stacy had a bigger dancing trainning. She didn’t meet the requirements at all. How did she get in? I saw Stacy at the mall last year and nobody even recognized her. Did she sleep with someone to get in?Or did she strip in front of the judges and producers? Or did they just pick her because they always got a boner from watching her on WWE?

Stacy: She’s a good dancer, but since she started to wear provocative clothes, she started to get high scores. Why is it that judges never comment on her dancing? One comments on her legs only. I think we all know she has long and beautiful legs, but honestly this is a dancing competition. When all the couples are together and the judges comment on each one of them. Why don’t they comment on Stacy? And if they do it’s all about the legs. By the way, I’m a guy, and I liked Lisa better. No, why would I be jealous of Stacy? Lisa is a mom and look at the body she has. There’s not jealousy here. It’s just facts. You are calling everyone jealous just because they don’t like Stacy. Why did Stacy has that attitude last week? It wasn’t justified at all. Responding aggressive is not the solution(when she was in the bottom 2). Can’t she accept the fact viewers didn’t agree with her choice of dances? She didn’t choose the right dances. She chose the ones that she has danced more than 3 times. And yet she claims it was hard for her last week? She isn’t the greatest dancer. She is good because of her past trainning, as well as Drew. But she isn’t naturally gifted. Oh, but of course i’m jealous! Because I liked Lisa better *sarcasm*

I don’t see how showing off your body – if, indeed Stacy is doing that – is disrespecting yourself any more than showing off your mind would be. The sad truth is that feeling guilty about your body and hating anyone that doesn’t is a common neurosis shared by supposedly pious sickos everywhere. Don’t let them fool you. They’re not pious. They’re envious. I think it is wonderful to see someone who is courageous enough to be comfortable with their own physicality despite the evil taunting they risk doing so. Go Stacy! Don’t let the viciousness of a few crippled freaks slow you down.

Have you ever seen someone who shows off her body being respected by others? That’s your answer. For some people it’s disrespectful to show off your body. There are dresses that let u show off your body. Tight dresses for example. There’s no need to show off every skin in your body. If you like to be that way that’s your problem, but for some people is insulting and you should respect that.

I was saddened to see Lisa and Louie voted off last Fri. I think the system isn’t working very well because they were so much better than Jerry and Anna.

I also am disgusted with all of the continuous sniping at Stacy. Some people are using this blog just to keep attacking Stacy over and over again for nothing whatsoever to do with her dancing. What they do attack (her morals), they know nothing about. What’s the problem? It is probably something that would best be treated by a professional. Baseless attacks can destroy people, men or women. There is no comparison between the wickedness of such attacks and someone exposing their legs on a TV show. Jeeez.

  199. Fred Says:

ABC should change the rules for people who are insulted by Stacy’s shocking behavior. No one who is attractive should be able to compete. Nobody should be able to expose skin. No one should be able to wiggle their hips. In fact, no dancing should be allowed at all. They should call it “Praying with the Mullahs”.

Lisa and Louis never should have been voted off. I thought Lisa greatly improved over the weeks and deserved at least 3rd place. Jerry tried but just doesn’t have the flexability for a dancer and should have been the one voted off plus I didn’t think his teacher was the best. The voting obviously is done for the person, not the dancing. The voting system needs to be revamped…..I think just the judges should vote. Jerry should have given up his title to Lisa. He has to know she was better. Maybe we will be surprised and something will be said this week.

I don’t really like Stacey, but I don’t understand why everyone keeps attacking her choice of clothes. Her outfits were no skimpier than Lisa’s, yet no one is calling Lisa a slut. Lisa was way too annoying with her “I am so unworthy attitude.” I was REALLY glad to see her go.

Stacy CAN dance. Even if she has had trainning before, she still can dance and she does deserve to be in the top 3. Whatever she wears it’s her problem. I’m sorry if she has offended you, but this is television. I don’t like Stacy’s attitude. So far we don’t really know who she really is. Is she a sweetheart?Agressive? A fake? We don’t know. She reacts different every week. And her violent side has come out last week. After getting angry for being at the bottom 2, she didn’t say bye bye to Lisa until the end and even then she was still angry, and what happens 1 second later? Cameras and reporters approach her and she acts like a sweetheart as if nothing happened. Eh? Who is the real Stacy? She has different behaviors. We don’t really see her behaving the same way every time. And I mean in a normal way. She acts completely different each week.

Have you guys been watching the Olympic ice dancing contest? The orginal dance for all the couples were set to latin musice and some of the more sensual dances were the choice. Barely there costumes were the main focus but I dont see anyone running around calling Tanith Belbin or Tatiana Navka a slut. You have to dress the part. Lisa’s outfits continuously got smaller and smaller each week. Everytime she danced I was scared to death she was going to show a body part. You dont see anyone calling her a slut though. It’s really sad what is becoming of this message board.

And for the record, Stacy was selected as the dance of the week. Drew got it first, then Stacy, then Lisa, and now Drew again. Pay attention people. Jesus

I don’t have any problem whatsoever with Stacy’s looks. Her outfits are a bit sleazy, but then so were Lisa’s and some of the pro dancers. I do have a problem with Stacy’s attitude. Sugary sweet, holier than thou, I’m such a nice, praying girl. It’s b.s. Last week she didn’t handle her critism from Carrie well at all. She assumes Carrie has it in for her. She just can’t stand not being worshipped. And it killed her that she didn’t advance to the next round RIGHT AWAY! So she glared. Her attitude sucks, and shouldn’t be accepted by anyone. She desesrves to lose for being a bad sport. And to be fair, Anna’s attiude sucks too.

Go Drew. He’s great and should win. Poor Jerry just isn’t any good, but at least he tries hard. Lisa was really good. Sorry she’s gone. stacy’s hot, would love to bang her. She wouldn’t want me though, I’m not rich. So that’s ok. Her body’s great, but she’s stuck up. Nasty last week. But no one likes her for her disposition. Or her dancing. It’s all about the blonde hair and mile long legs. Even the male judges never comment on her dancing. Just her looks.

  213. Daniel Says:
    February 21st, 2006 at 7:20 pm

In case you didn’t notice. This whole thing is in favor of Drew. The judges love Drew’s dancing. He has the whole package. The only thing you hear from the judges’ mouths towards Stacy is “you have amazing legs” and the rest is “guys would love to make out with you right now” “you like to move your hips, don’t you?” So come on! You never hear anything about her dancing, no matter how good or bad it was. It’s very obvious that she’s using the body to gain her votes. And that’s not right. If you think it is, then you have a problem. Or maybe we should all sell our bodies to get what we want. That’s a path to prostitution. If she wants to wear slutty clothes or whatever, that’s fine, but if you use that to give the guys a boner and get the votes, that’s not right. Why would she go to the army? Oh right because the song had to do with patriotism? Please ,her partner knows very well she could get the votes from the army. Her dancing is good, but her attitude sucks. I blame her parents. She wouldn’t be that way if her parents didn’t raise her well. Unless she just rebeled herself. The only good thing about her is her body and her dancing. Other than that, she’s trash. Would you marry her? I seriously hope she doesn’t have kids. Poor kids. They would have to see what their mother has done in the past. And I’m not talking about this show. In general. Would you let your 12 year old do that? I know it’s a huge age different, but when something is right it goes for every age.

  214. Anonymous Says:

    Think about this:

Would you rather get in bed with Stacy or dance all that? If Stacy was naked on your bed, would you ask her to put her clothes on? Of course not. Unless you are already married and are a loyal guy, which is rare to find. If she was doing things right, you would want to do the right thing with her. You’d rather walk with her down the beach or dance or eat dinner, then after a while of knowing her you’d get her in bed, if that’s what you are used to. When someone thinks of Stacy or any other pretty girl like her, they don’t think on how a good mom she’d be or to go to church with her or have dinner with her. The first thing you get is a boner. Be man enough to admit that.

All you men who refer to any women who post negative comments about Stacy as “venomous” are making me laugh. Wait until your bober goes down before posting, you morons. Stacy does have 13 years of classical ballet, tap and jazz training. Let me clue you in; that DOES make her overly trained for this competition. Drew being in a boy boand is NO comparison to 13 years of study and training. Just because you can’t see past your erection, doesn’t make most of the comments made here about her untrue, just offensive to you. The girl is an idiot. First they push that she’s a wrestler…….ha! Right!! She might as well walk around the ring in a bikini with the signs showing what round it is. Then they dismiss just how MUCH training she has had. Then they score her numbers outrageously high for what was actually performed. Then, when she gets less than perfect, she shows her true colors…a whiny, spolied, brainless bimbo who would fare better on Hollywood Boulevard than in Hollywood. Calims she was up to be the next Bond Girl??? Not. Keep dreaming Stacy, maybe they’ll let you go see the movie on a kiddie pass.

The WWE has visit troops several times these past few years. Stacy hasn’t been with the groups that have been to Iraq and Afgahnistan but she has been to see them numerous times. But you people dont care about all that. All you see is a body, an attitude, and this so-called “slut” image. She had one bad night. Big, freakin deal. Anna and Jerry bitch each week about their comments. Tatum O’Neal was bitchy about the comments she got the week she got cut. No one handles criticism very well. The fact of the matter is, Lisa got cut and she aint coming back no matter how much you bitch, moan, and hate on Stacy. Drew and Cheryl will probably win, but good for them. I’ve enjoyed them since the beginning. They’re great dancers. So how about we all stop bitching about this and just get on with our lives. It’s just a television show

    Here’s my review:

Drew and Cheryl: They did an AMAZING job tonight. They proved to us that they deserve to win. They proved they can really dance.

Stacy and Tony: BUH! HORRIBLE. Stacy was one of my favorites until 2 weeks ago. Now I agree she acts a little too “easy” not 100% a “slut” but hey you just proved that tonight Stacy. Stacy did dance good tonight, but again she chosed the same dance she has danced 4 times already and in a row! Did they work hard this week? No, they didn’t. Second dance. Way too easy. Even my grandpa dances better. We all dance that at parties and reunions. Way too easy and she did not prove tonight that deserved it. She acted way too relieved tonight. Did she sleep with the producers? Or did she just think the judges were going to give her 60 out of 60 regardless of what they do. She doesn’t deserve to win.

Jerry and Ana: Jerry isn’t the greatest, but he has given 100% of him. He has improved his dancing and at least he moves more. Tonight he showed more effort than Stacy, yet Stacy got the 30 out of 30 pretty easy.

This will be between Jerry and Drew. If Stacy wins. She either slept with the producers OR she got the guys to have enough boners to vote for her. If your husband is watching her and said she did a great job tonight, divorce him.

No one has said anything about the links I posted, to prove Stacy is not the goody goody you said she is. Watch those videos and tell me if you don’t think she’s selling her body in order to get votes. They pay her to do those photoshoots you know. Is that the message we should send to everyone? Who cares if the rest of the media transmits even worse stuff. We have to start from somewhere. We have to teach our young ones to win something with morality and respect. Posing for a magazine is fine. There are full dresses that show off your body perfectly. There’s no need to take off all your clothes, specially to get votes.

Everyone I know that has watched Dancing totally agrees this has become a popularity contest for some and with giving 50% of the power to callers, there is no control over talent!!! While Jerry Rice was totally likeable he did not dance as professionally as Lisa, Drew and Stacy. The ONLY way he ended up in 2nd place is because his fans called in. Not because he was such a fantastic dancer. PLEASE rethink how these couples can be judged and voted on..give less percentage to the callers. Involved more judges so there can be no charge of favortism from them either. We are all happy that Drew and Cheryl one but to take away second place from Stacy was so unfair and underserving.
