Donald Trump Advises Deal or No Deal Contestant

February 27, 2006 09:13 PM by Joe Blackmon

In the NBC premiere of the second run of Deal or No Deal, Donald Trump shows up to advise one of the contestants.  Peter Montesanti is doing quite well in the game and has worked himself all the way up to a banker offer of $199,000.  Host Howie Mandel then asks Peter if he wishes he had an expert to help him make financial decisions.  Donald Trump then walks out to the loud roar of approval from the crowd.

Donald Trump initially says at this stage I would probably take the money, but if I’m your age I would say no deal.  Peter takes Trump’s advice and says “No Deal.”  Peter chooses case #25 which reveals $10.  The banker’s offer goes up to $279,000, and Peter’s wife wants him to take the deal.  However, Peter says “No Deal.”  Peter’s wife screams out “Baby, what are you doing?”

Peter chooses case #21 which reveals $100.  The banker’s offer goes up to $359,000.  Trump calls Peter over for a consultation.  Trump asks Peter “How badly do you need the money?”  After Peter answers that you have no idea, Trump advises Peter to “take the money.”  Peter takes Trump’s advice and takes the deal.  It turns out to be good advice, because when Howie Mandel opens Peter’s final case it turns out to be the $25 case.  Peter would have only won $25 if he had played the game until the end.

I really want to be on “Deal or no Deal”.I rode race horses for 27 years- until my broken bones & twisted tendons did not heal quite as fast anymore. I LOVED it- but did not make that much money- no “401k”- no paid vacations-no health insurance. If you got hurt you basically had to go off like a wounded animal to your den ,heal yourself, then go back to the race track too look for horses to ride all over again. Now I work for a Corporation -it is really boring- even though I now have a “401k ” and paid vacationS & health insurance.I would like my compassion for life back !!Boredom is DEATH to me! “Give me liberty or give me death ” – I understand this famous saying So well. Put me on “Deal or no deal ” -and I will give all who watch the show a real “RUN FOR THE MONEY”. I promise! And I am also a person who really cares about Americans – my heart goes out for all who lost their lives in wars to keep this country free,as well as other countries they helped to be free( though some citizens of those countries have short memories) & to their familes -even “imaginative wars ” -created by our government -where Americans either were drafted or volunteered to serve this great country. The true heart of America is an American who is willing to lay down their own life for this country.God bless them all. I have a nephew in Iraq serving our country right now.I pray he comes home soon to his wife and their three young daughters.

    Thank you,

    Dixie Lee Hodges

I would love to be on your show. My husband and I play along all the time. We’ve both participated in your case number game through our cell phones. I would love to meet you in person and have a chance to get out of Des Moines for a few. I married my 9 years younger husband on July 9th, 2005 & still wanting a honeymoon which I think your show could help us accomplish.
    Thanks for your time.

I’d like to buy a house in florida in a beautiful community called “TerraLargo” in lakeland. But my husband can not leave his good job as a printer press operator. he said we will go to florida when he retires. but i want to go there while we are young. if i had the money id buy a house in TerraLargo and use as summer vacation home.
