The La Mina and Casaya tribes merge. Casaya has a six to four numbers advantage over La Mina. Terry Deitz works on trying to swing Bruce over from Casaya to Lamina. Bruce delights in being the swing vote and having the most power in the tribe. While Nick is cutting rope to build a shelter, the machete slips and hits Bruce Kanegai in the face. Even though it draws blood, Bruce is tough and stays in the game.
After failing to turn Bruce, Terry tries to recruit Shane Powers and Cirie Fields to join Lamina. Shane tells Terry that he’s not flopping and that getting to the mergers with the numbers is the biggest part of the game.
The immunity challenge involves hanging upside down from a pole. Austin, Terry, and Nick are the last three left hanging. Terry wins immunity. Shane calls a Casaya meeting to talk about who from La Mina they are going to vote off. All four La Mina tribe member vote for Shane, while all six Casaya tribe members vote for Nick. Jeff Probst points out that Nick has not been to Exile Island so that unless somebody has given him the immunity idol, then he is out of the game. Nick does not have the immunity idol and is eliminated form Survivor.
