May 03, 2006 11:01 PM by Joe Blackmon

"Episode108" – The first episode this week of "American Inventor" will focus on three semi-finalists to see how they use the $50,000 they’ve been given to finalize their invention. Peter Jones, one of the expert judges, will mentor three inventors and guide them through the process of working with product designers, packaging companies, marketing executives and product testing.

In an ultimate challenge, the inventors will have their new and improved product tested to see if it delivers, and Peter will face the difficult decision of choosing one of his three to move on to the final round, one step closer to winning one million dollars and becoming the next great "American Inventor."

"American Inventor," the embodiment of the ultimate American dream from Simon Cowell and the producers of "American Idol," airs THURSDAY, MAY 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

It is down to the final four, and only one will win the million dollars, but shouldn’t the other three who had great inventions as well, receive a nice $$$ consulation prize?
