To kick off the show, Brook Burke points out that last week’s eliminated rock singer Ryan Star has the top three music downloads on MSN.com, including the number one spot with his original “Back Of My Car.” Brooke Burke also reveals that Dilana ripped a calf muscle in rehearsal, but like a true rock professional she is still going to perform. For her first song, Dilana performs “Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who. For her second song, Dilana performs the original song “SuperSoul.” After Dave Navarro compliments Dilana on not letting her injury affect her performance, Dave Navarro says “Your original wasn’t really my favorite thing that I’ve heard out of you.” However, Tommy Lee says “I might have to box Dave here in a little bit, because I really did dig the original track.”
For his first song, Magni performs “Back In The U.S.S.R.” by The Beatles. For his second song, Magni performs the original song “When The Time Comes.” Dave Navarro says “I think that’s the most aggressive I’ve heard your voice this entire show.” Tommy Lee complains that both of the performances were pretty much the same. Gilby Clarke says “Great job in general, loved it.”
For her first song, Storm Large performs “Suffragette City” by David Bowie. Dave Navarro joins her on the stage on guitar. For her second song, Storm Large performs the original song “LadyLike.” Dave Navarro says “My favorite original that I’ve heard on this whole show and last season too.” Gilby Clarke says “Great Bowie tune and great Storm Large song.”
For his first song, Lukas Rossi performs “Livin’ On A Prayer” by Jon Bon Jovi. For his second song, Lukas Rossi performs the original song “Headspin.” Dave Navarro says “You’ve also now just shown us this powerful, emotional, heavy handed side of you, which I dug, dude.” Gilby Clarke says “I get inspired when I watch you perform.”
For his first song, Toby Rand performs “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. For his second song, Toby Rand performs the original song “Throw It Away.” Dave Navarro says “Your original song, instantaneously memorable.” Gilby Clarke says “Every time you perform you put the fun in rock n’ roll.”
Instead of revealing the bottom three, Brooke Burke reveals the highest to lowest order of the early voting results. Toby is first, Lukas is second, Magni is third, Storm is fourth, and Dilana is fifth. Storm Large will likely get the encore for her original song. It’s a tough call for who will be going home, but if early voting is any indication, then it looks like one time favorite Dilana could get the hatchet. Magni could also be at risk if he falls into the bottom three, but look for Iceland to keep him safe in the overnight voting.
