To kick off the Rock Star Supernova finale, Brooke Burke announces that at some point during the voting Lukas Rossi, Toby Rand, and Magni all fell into the bottom two. The rock singers who ultimately wound up in the bottom two are Magni and Toby Rand. Magni performs “Fire” by Jimi Hendrix. Toby Rand performs “White Wedding” by Billy Idol.
Gilby Clarke tells Magni, “Man, It’s been a great ride, but one of our questions has always been you’re such a talented musician and you play so well with the band and even with a song like fire, I don’t know if you’re even really fronting the band as much as you’re part of the band. So with all that being considered, Magni you’re the next to go.” Magni says “Thank you to everybody who ever voted for me.”
Brooke Burke calls the final three to the stage and gives them each a chance to plead their case to Supernova. Lukas Rossi says “All the success that these guys have had. They could be mean guys if they wanted, you know. They’ve done a lot in their lives. They could be egocentric but getting to know them they’re amazing guys, and it would be my honor to lead them on a world tour.” Dilana says “I think this band needs someone that is 1000% dedicated to representing great guys, great music. I want to rock the world with you guys. And Lukas is amazing, Toby is incredible, but I’m the one.” Toby Rand says “The energy I’ve brought to this stage wouldn’t even come near the energy that I can put on a stage when I’ve had a few beers before a show, and also I’m tallest.”
Lukas Rossi performs “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve. Dilana performs “Zombie” by The Cranberries. Toby Rand performs “Somebody Told Me” by The Killers. Jason Newsted tells Toby Rand, “Your vocal ability has never been in question. You have this range more than any other person that has competed here that cuts through no matter how loud the guitar gets, your voice still cuts through. That’s awesome. Earch performance, another notch, another notch, another notch, you know what I mean, everybody’s been able to see it, been visible, just like that, absolutely, no question about it. You are going to be the next one to go home from this competition.” Toby Rand says “Thank you so much, I’ve had the best time ever.”
The final two are Lukas Rossi and Dilana. Dave Navarro says “It kind of looks like you’re about to perform at a Goth wedding.” Brooke Burke reveals that Lukas Rossi and Dilana were also the two with the highest number of viewer votes. Tommy Lee says “Lukas, your look, your energy, your vocals, the way you move, everything has been really, really amazing for us.” Tommy Lee says “Dilana, yeah, you are enchanting, your voice is unbelievable. I mean who doesn’t love you, who doesn’t love both of you guys.”
Tommy Lee says “As any good band would do, they would listen to their fans, and this person I’m talking about had the highest number of votes last night, and so obviously we agree with our public. Lukas, you’re our boy, welcome.” Dave Navarro invites Dilana to also come on the tour, and Gilby Clarke offers to help Dilana write and produce a record. To close out the show, Lukas Rossi performs “Be Yourself” with Supernova.
