Last week on Survivor Cook Islands, the women of Raro took out JP, one of the strongest males on their tribe. This week, the remaining men on Raro showed that they got the message, and they worked extra hard gathering fire wood and catching fish to prove their worth to the women.
For the reward challenge, the two tribes competed in an endurance challenge that involved pairs holding up an increasing amount of weight. Raro won the reward challenge and received more fishing supplies, spices, and bottles of wine. Raro also won the right to send someone from the Aitu tribe to Exile Island, and they selected Jonathan.
On the Aitu tribe, Cao Boi, Ozzy, and Jessica took a trip to a nearby island to search for more resources. The nearby island turned out to be the island where the Raro tribe was living. Cao Boi attempted to convince Raro to share their spices, but Raro was not happy about having visitors and refused.
For the immunity challenge, the two tribes built poles then utilized the poles to transport their fellow tribe members from the beach to a platform out in the water. To complete the challenge, all eight tribe members had to balance themselves on a small deck. Aitu won the immunity challenge.
The Raro tribe initially decided to vote out Cristina, but an off-handed comment from Stephannie about wanting mashed potatoes helped make her a target. Nathan interpreted Stephannie’s comment as meaning that she was ready to go. During tribal council, Nathan called Cristina out for having an overbearing personality. However, the want of mashed potatoes proved to be a greater sin than having an overbearing personality, and Stephannie Favor became the fifth person voted off Survivor Cook Islands.
