The final round of Gold Rush (www.aol.com/goldrush), the groundbreaking seven-week interactive game from AOL and Mark Burnett where players can turn their pop culture know-how into $1 million in gold, begins Thursday, October 26. Online challenges will open at 12 Noon ET that day and the first six players to correctly solve all the puzzles and trivia quizzes in this special round will be eligible to join in the ultimate pop culture tournament for the game’s $1 million grand prize, culminating on Thursday, November 9.
The game has attracted an estimated 8 million visitors since September, who have been to the website over 12 million times racking up an estimated 80 million page views, according to AOL’s internal reporting.
Mark Steines, Gold Rush Host and,Entertainment Tonight Co-Anchor will be calling each of the six winners personally on November 1 to invite them to the epicenter of glitz, glamour and gossip – Los Angeles – to go head-to-head with the game’s previous 12 $100,000 winners in a match that will culminate on November 9.
“Gold Rush has garnered amazing results,” said Mark Burnett. “And, I am eagerly anticipating the dramatic culmination of this pop culture phenomenon with our final round kick-off this week.”
