Amazing Race Results – Team Kentucky Marked For Elimination For A Second Time

October 29, 2006 09:42 PM by Joe Blackmon

Team_kentuckyFor the seventh leg of the Amazing Race, the teams started off by flying to the Island of Mauritius.  At the airport, a huge argument broke out when Dustin & Kandice helped Tyler & James get tickets ahead of Lyn & Karylyn.  However, all the teams wound up on the same flight anyway and arrived in Mauritius at the same time.

Afer arriving in Mauritius, teams raced to Grand Baie.  At Grand Baie, teams swam out to a boat to receive their clue.  The clue directed the teams to drive to a post office in Case Noyale.  On the way to the Case Noyale, Rob & Kimberly had car trouble and Dustin & Kandice had a minor car wreck.  At the post office, teams received a detour choice between “Salt” and “Sea.”  In “Salt,” teams had to search among three enormous piles of salt for a salt shaker.  In “Sea,” teams had to travel by boat to an island and locate a sail and mast to use in sailing back.

The piles of salt detour proved to be especially challenging, and every team that started it gave up and switched detours.  After completing the detour, teams raced to Chateua Bel Ombre, which was the pit stop for this leg of the race.

Dustin & Kandice arrived in first place, and they each won a motor scooter.  James & Tyler arrived in second place, Rob & Kimberly arrived in third place, Erwin & Godwin arrived in fourth place, and Lyn & Karylyn arrived in fifth place.  David & Mary arrived in last place, but it turned out to be a non-elimination leg.  David & Mary were marked for elimination, and they have to arrive at the pit stop first on the next leg of the race or they will incur a thirty minute penalty.

Amazing Race Update:  In other Amazing Race news, Reality TV Magazine reported recently that former racers Jonathan Baker & Victoria Fuller are the proud parents of a baby daughter.  Jonathan & Victoria & Baby Trease are also featured in this week’s edition of People Magazine.

Ok, this show has to be rigged for the coal miners to stay in this. No way they have another non-elimination this quickly. This season is getting boring quick! A little drama tonight but not enough. I can’t wait until all this “team six pack” crap is over.

I cannot wait to see Bama GONE….. Does that chick ever smile…. AND…. Are those 3 teams (The Six Pack) the stupidest teams ever to hit The Amazing Race….. Being nice and not playing dirty is one thing but to be in a race and wait for your “friends”…give me a break… NONE of them deserve to win…..

    So who deserves to win?

    A. the Smug beauty queens-their lack of understanding of how international travel works

    B. Freddy/Kendra redux-Rob wants to quit. Both of them hate talking to foreigners.

    C. Druggie models- “Dude, bro, we’re recovering drug addicts.” Yeah, Compelling TV indeed. Their lack of direction is going to hurt them in the end.

You can’t fault Tyler & James for the “recovering drug addicts” angle. CBS is airing that clip to death. It seems like Tyler & James only talked about it once but CBS is taking bits & pieces and airing them over the whole season.

It’s not rigged, but it definintely pisses me off. The “six-pack” is the dumbest possible strategy in a game like Amazing Race.

Erikkka’s boytoys belong on the same season with Jon/Al’s “we’re unfunny clowns from Ringing Bro” or Monica’s “We’re married to professional athletes” Of Course CBS have to air that clip to death. Their soundbites have to make up for their lack of personality.

They mention the “we’re recovering druggie mactors” a gazillion times.
