For the fifth episode of The Apprentice, Donald Trump challenged the
teams to harvest, bottle, and sell Sue Bee honey. Instead of Trump’s
favorite Apprentice winner Bill Rancic or an offspring, Apprentice 5
winner Sean Yazbeck observed the teams as they worked on their tasks.
On Team Kinetic, some candidates complained that project manager Amy wasn’t doing anything in developing the marketing campaign. On Team Arrow, Tim struggled with the honey bottling process. Team Arrow seemed to do well in sales, but some candidates complained that they had to tell project manager Aaron what to do. On Team Kinetic, Derek put on a beekeeper’s suit, which really helped his team start selling honey.
Because Trump was away on business, Sean Yazbeck called him to go over how the teams did. Team Arrow sold 217 bottles for a total of $775.48, while Team Kinetic sold 345 bottles for a total of $836.48. For their reward, Team Kinetic got to go to the Los Angeles Laker’s training center and play with some of the greatest basketball players ever.
Before the boardroom, some candidates on Team Arrow decided to target Surya because they felt he didn’t offer a lot to the team. In the boardroom, Trump questioned Aaron on why he was so quiet during the boardroom last week. Project manager Aaron selected Surya and Nicole to face boardroom elimination with him. Trump told Aaron Altscher, “You were weak on sales, and sadly you were really weak in the boardroom. Last week, I was looking for your guidance. I wanted you to speak up. Sean wanted you to speak up. I saw a very quiet guy who didn’t want to speak, that didn’t want to impart his knowledge to me if he had any knowledge. You had no leadership, I got very little help. In addition, I didn’t see the leadership for this task. Aaron, you’re fired.”
