On the second episode of Survivor Fiji, the Ravu tribe became so
desperate for water that they started licking leaves to keep from
getting dehydrated. Meanwhile, the Moto tribe enjoyed all the luxuries
they received as part of winning the first reward challenge.
On the Moto tribe, Boo proved to be one of the most accident prone contestants in the history of Survivor. Boo’s accidents included getting something in his eye, cutting his hand and knee with an axe, and falling out of a hammock. When Sylvia returned from Exile Island to join the Ravu tribe, Yau-man greeted her with a hug and with the ulterior motive of peeking in her bag to see if she had found the immunity idol.
The reward/immunity challenge was a combination water challenge where contestants used a canoe to retrieve crates and a puzzle challenge where contestants built a flag pole. The Moto tribe assembled and raised their flag pole first and won the reward challenge. Their reward was a lot of fishing gear, immunity from tribal council, and the right to send someone from the other tribe to Exile Island. Moto selected Earl to go to Exile Island.
On Exile Island, Earl received the following second clue, “To search with success you must become centered under the highest point through which you have entered.” Earl also encountered a highly poisonous sea snake, which he killed with a machete.
On the Ravu tribe, Rocky and Mookie plotted to get rid of Erica because they felt like she freaked out during the challenge. Anthony wasn’t comfortable with voting for Erica and expressed that he would rather get rid of Sylvia. At tribal council, Sylvia revealed that she felt like an outsider when she came back from Exile Island and joined the tribe. In the end though, it was Erica Durousseau who became the second person voted off Survivor Fiji.
