Dancing With The Stars 4 Off To A Great Start

March 19, 2007 09:42 PM by Joe Reality

To kick off Dancing with the Stars 4, the professional dancers took
part in a group dance.  Host Tom Bergeron informed viewers that instead
of the usual six weeks of training, the current group of contestants
has had only four weeks of training.  To give the judges and viewers a
chance to see all the contestants dance twice before the first
elimination, contestants performed this week and will perform again
next Monday, before the first elimination show on Tuesday of next week.

Ian Ziering & Cheryl Burke danced the Cha-Cha-Cha.  Len Goodman said “A great job, well done.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You’ve got to get more down with your hips, go and see a Chippendale’s show or something.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I thought that was great, you had great energy, the musicality kicked in, you could use the floor a little bit more.”  Ian Ziering & Cheryl Burke received a score of 21 out of 30 points.

Paulina Porizkova & Alec Mazo danced the Fox Trot.  Len Goodman said “For me, it was in two halves.  You’ve got fabulous arms, most musical arms I’ve seen, and all your lines are beautiful, it’s when you take hold that the problem starts, you’ve not got body contact, your postures not quite right, but while you were apart was fabulous.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You were a little bit awkward with each other in the beginning.”  Bruno Tonioli said “I think you’ve got class oozing from every pore.”  Paulina Porizkova & Alec Mazo received a score of 19 out of 30 points.

Billy Ray Cyrus & Karina Smirnoff danced the Cha-Cha-Cha.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “That was rock-n-roll, but it wasn’t a Cha-Cha.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You were like a crazy bear lost in a swamp.”  Len Goodman said “It was more like a hoedown than a Cha-Cha-Cha.”  Billy Ray Cyrus & Karina Smirnoff received a score of 13 out of 30 points.

Leeza Gibbons & Tony Dovolani danced the Fox Trot.  Bruno Tonioli said “Leeza, my darling, you’ve got to relax.  You danced this Fox Trot, it was like it was at the edge of the Grand Canyon.”  Len Goodman said “Sometimes you get a little bit nervous, and you start to stiffen up.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You know what you did really well is you brought the character of the dance to life.”  Leeza Gibbons & Tony Dovolani received a score of 15 out of 30 points.

Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson danced the Cha-Cha-Cha.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I think the competition just began right now with you.”  Len Goodman said “The path to glory starts here, and you’ve just taken an enormous step forward.”  Bruno Tonioli said “This is really what it is all about.”  Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson received a score of 24 out of 30 points.

Laila Ali & Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Fox Trot.  Bruno Tonioli said “This Fox Trot was oozing sex appeal and allure.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You’re seamless, you’re effortless, and you’ve got that strength that I love watching in a woman dancing.”  Len Goodman said “Float like a butterfly, glide like a swan.”  Laila Ali & Maksim Chmerkovskiy received a score of 23 out of 30 points.

John Ratzenberger & Edyta Sliwinska danced the Cha-Cha-Cha.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “John, that was surprisingly good.”  Len Goodman said “It was a good job for two week’s training, well done.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You did a very good job.”  John Ratzenberger & Edyta Sliwinska received a score of 17 out of 30 points.

Shandi Finnessey & Brian Fortuna danced the Fox Trot.  Bruno Tonioli said “Good effort, you’ve got to watch when you do your extensions, point your feet.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “Your lower half needs a lot of work.”  Len Goodman said “For me, it was a little bit aggressive.”  Shandi Finnessey & Brian Fortuna received a score of 19 out of 30 points.

Clyde Drexler & Elena Grinenko danced the Cha-Cha-Cha.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You’ve got to open up.  I’d love to see you just expand and fill the whole dance floor when you’re dancing.”  Len Goodman said “It was such a charming performance, and it gave me so much pleasure.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You can charm the pants off America, that’s for sure.”  Clyde Drexler & Elena Grinenko received a score of 16 out of 30 points.

Heather Mills & Jonathan Roberts danced the Fox Trot.  Len Goodman said “There was far more right about that routine than there was wrong.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You’ve got more guts than Rambo.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You’ve got to watch your arms.”  Heather Mills & Jonathan Roberts received a score of 18 out of 30 points.

Apollo Anton Ohno & Julianne Hough danced the Cha-Cha-Cha.  Bruno Tonioli said “You are a joy to watch.  It’s like watching Happy Feet all over again.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “For a moment, I thought you were the guy from the boy band.”  Len Goodman said “For me, your posture isn’t great, you’ve got this stooped over look.  You’ve got to get yourself working, stretch through your neck, and get that lovely ballroom look for next week, but well done for your Cha-Cha-Cha.”  Apollo Anton Ohno & Julianne Hough received a score of 21 out of 30 points.

When everything was said and done, Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson received the highest score of the night and Billy Ray Cyrus & Karina Smirnoff received the lowest score of the night.  It’s too early to predict who will be going home first, because each couple gets another chance next week, which could change everything.

Heather Mills is an opportunist looking for a media bone…..had she not been mopped up in the courtroom with her divorce from Paul McCartney and made so many nasty, untrue allegations about one of the most beloved former Beatles, she would not be doing the show……trying to be an inspiration my as*, she’s scraping bottom and looking for some positive PR………..her agent should be fired!!
