Hosted by Howie Mandel, "Deal or No Deal" is an international hit game show from Endemol USA, the producers of NBC’s "Fear Factor" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Contestants play for a large cash prize in a high-energy match of nerves, instincts and raw intuition. Each night, the game of odds and chance unfolds when a contestant faces 26 sealed briefcases containing anything from a measly penny to one million dollars. Without knowing the amount in each briefcase, the contestant picks one — his to keep, if he chooses, until its unsealing at game’s end.

Based on the successful format from Endemol that has aired in over 40 countries, "Deal or No Deal" is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. David Goldberg is the president of Endemol USA. The series is executive-produced by Scott St. John.

I attended the casting call in San Diego, and after waiting 8 hours in line our group of 10 each got 20 seconds to talk about ourselves, when we were done the directors asked everyone to leave except for me and they asked why they should put me on the show. After I told them why they should choose me, they said ok well call you if we are interested.
Did anyone else attend? If so, how did it go? And has anyone received a call back from the San Diego casting?

I tried out for Deal or No Deal in Phoenix Arizona and I am also curious if anyone has heard anything. Maybe they are waiting until they are done with their casting tour to make their call backs.
    Does anyone know?

Thanks, and Good Luck to all who tried out.

Hey I will be attending an open casting call in Nashville on the 28th of April. I’m curious as to what they are looking for. This has been a dream of mine for years. Finally they are coming a little closer to home and I only have to drive 6 hours to try out. My mom will be going with me but I’m not sure if there is an age limit or not. I have heard some people talking about that. Does anyone know? Well I wish you all good luck and I hope that I am picked.

Hey I went to casting in Kansas City, Mo on April 24, 2007 and stood in line for about 5 hours. I went through the 20 second interview and they sent 7 people away. However; I was one of the (3) people left and ending up being the last person there from my group and answered further questions and they told me “Thanks we will keep in touch with you”. Has anyone heard from them yet?

I was the last of the 3 adn was asked 4 questions when the other 2 were only asked 1. I feel like my chances are great, but I want a call back NOW!! has anyone been called yet?

Hi there. Thanks to everyone for leaving your comments. You know what? Bear in mind that they are going to 9 cities and only a small percentage of season 3 contestants will come out of these open calls. I mean something like 30 people at the most will come out of 9 cities which probably had about 75-100 thousand people audition. I read that to send a videotape, it is 1 out of 500 who get an interview. They did open calls around this time last year and if you look at the contestants who were in season 2 who represented the places where they did open calls, there weren’t more than 30. It makes it seem so easy when you watch DOND and see a contestant and think… Geee!! I could be better than that. It is not. Be ready for a long process and wait.

Good luck. It is definitely a one in a long shot. I hope I get it and you too!

I also auditioned at Nashville. I was kept after the initial 20 sec audition for more questioning and then immediately asked to return the next day with my supporters to play a mock version of the game! All went great just waitin for a call!!! Good luck all!

I went to the casting call in Detroit and I am waiting on a call back, I went for my casting and I fell the experience was awesome! I would do it again, but hopefully I will not have to, because my audition and casting went well. All my friends and family tell me I would be a great contestant. I hope to go one on one with the banker and have the chance to meet Howie and the girls.
