American Idol – Reality TV Magazine Is Tops When It Comes To Sanjaya Buzz

April 16, 2007 07:45 AM by Joe Blackmon

American Idol is the most talked about show on television.  Sanajaya
Malakar is the most talked about contestant on American Idol.  And when
it comes to generating buzz about Sanjaya , Reality TV Magazine is at
the top of the list according to a recent study by Nielsen
.  After analyzing blog links since January 1, 2007, Nielsen
BuzzMetrics ranked Reality TV Magazine as the most cited by blogs
discussing Sanjaya.

Nielsen BuzzMetrics reported that blog references to "Sanjaya Malakar" jumped 338% the week ending April 8, 2007 in comparison to the week ending February 18, 2007.  Neilsen BuzzMetrics also reported that Sanjaya fever has reached such heights that bloggers now refer to him primarily by his first name only, by a factor of three to one.

Nielsen BuzzMetrics filtered blog buzz through a Brand Association Map.  By using advanced text algorithms, Nielsen BuzzMetrics was able to discern the most important language, attributes, issues and themes about Sanjaya.  Not surprisingly, the Brand Association Map revealed that “Howard Stern and Vote for the Worst, were as closely associated to Sanjaya as American Idol, suggesting the two campaigns are supporting Sanjaya’s notoriety.”

hi…similar phenomenon happened. Sanjaya can win the American Idol. Similar program “Fame Gurukul” in India, a guy named QAZI won it. Similar like Sanjaya not appreciated for the singing talent but went on to win the finals. It has happend. Plz be ready for it. Sanjaya can win the American Idol. If you have doubts, try QAZI sing in the googlesearch..You will find the results. May be Simon can watch for the judges not happy comments(of course with a translater). it will help Simon.

Well, it should be pointed out that Sanjaya was over heating search engines long BEFORE he even made it into the top 12. And there are articles covering this out there if you look around. He’s simply popular and well liked. The vote for the worst has been pretty much debunked as hype to generate publicity by most people willing to be scientific about it. Of course there are also the bashers that love to believe otherwise, but what can you do…. —

    GO Sanjaya!

Sanjaya Malakar is arguably the most talked about contestant in the history of American Idol. Whether you’re voting for him or not, he entertains every week. He gives it his all. He is a sweet, handsome and talented 17 year old, with a smile to light up a room. That’s not to say Melinda isn’t a wonderful singer with a winning way, or that Jordan isn’t a little dynamo, or that Blake won’t be making records, but Sanjaya has something extra. It’s called the IT factor.

Simon is always saying you have to stand out from the crowd. Well, Sanjaya does that. And despite some nasty comments on the web, and I’m getting the feel that much of it,unfortunately, is racist, Sanjaya is a good very singer. He has a warm, melodious voice. He just doesn’t have ‘big’ voice. There are any number of big names making millions who are less talented vocally. And many wonderful singers of the past who did not have a big voice – Perry Como, Donny Osmond, Bobby Vinton and so many more. The negative comments on the internet are overwhelming the good ones, mainly because those who really like Sanjaya, and think he has an excellent chance of landing in the top three or four, are afraid to say so, fearful they may seem uncool, while the ‘pack’ are having a gleeful time at this lovely boy’s expense. Thanks Gina. Thanks J-Lo.

Sanjaya´s there because the judges thought he warranted being put through; he´s still standing because people are voting for him in droves. He has our attention. We are enchanted. There is no conspiracy. Let’s hear from more of you Sanjaya fans.

I wish Sanjaya the best. And I think he’s going to be a big star.
