Dancing With The Stars Final Five Performance Show Goes Crazy

May 07, 2007 11:03 PM by Joe Blackmon

Cake_cherylMaybe everyone was nervous about having boxing legend Muhammad Ali in
the audience, but the Dancing with the Stars final five couples
performance show was the craziest Dancing with the Stars ever.  It all
started when Ian Ziering gave Cheryl Burke a cake for her birthday.
Cheryl rubbed some cake in Ian’s face, and then Ian took the entire
cake and hit Cheryl right in her breasts.

For their first dance, Ian Ziering & Cheryl Burke danced the Fox Trot.  Len Goodman said “I always think of you as Mr. Consistency, but tonight for me, you’ve just taken a bit of dip.”  Bruno Tonioli said “The body was like a jumping goat.  It doesn’t work.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You brought so much exuberance and so much charm to this dance.”  Ian & Cheryl received a score of 22 out of 30 points.

After Ian & Cheryl’s first dance, host Samantha Harris proved that she either has very poor eyesight or difficulty identifying different parts of the female anatomy.  Samantha said “Besides getting the cake pushed into your face, it was nice that he put a ten on the top.”  Unless Cheryl has a second face hidden in the middle of her chest, Samantha was just a little off in her assessment of what happened.

For their second dance, Ian Ziering & Cheryl Burke danced the Rumba.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I thought it was a good effort, but it wasn’t quite all there.”  Len Goodman said “My problem with it is that it lacks a sort of naturalness.”  Bruno Tonioli said “I actually thought you were in business there.”  Ian & Cheryl received a score of 25 out of 30 points for a combined total of 47 out of 60 points.

For their first dance, Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson danced the Waltz.  Bruno Tonioli said “You could be in the final, and this for me is not good enough.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “It was really good.  It was a solid technical Waltz.  It was beautiful.  It was well done, but it was missing the Joey special.”  Len Goodman said “It was lovely.  Trust me Joe, do that type of ballroom dancing, it is proper dancing.”  Joey & Kym received a score of 26 out of 30 points.

For their second dance, Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson danced the Mambo.  Len Goodman said “You just seem to spend a lot of time between each other’s legs.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You pimped the Mambo.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You’re so at ease on the dance floor that this competition, It almost seems like it’s in the bag for you.”  Joey & Kym received a score of 29 out of 30 points for a combined total of 55 out of 60 points.

For their first dance, Billy Ray Cyrus & Karina Smirnoff danced the Fox Trot.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You have improved so much from the beginning.”  Len Goodman said “The problem was you did all the right steps but unfortunately they were all at the wrong time.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You always are deliciously awful, and you know, I can appreciate that.”  Backstage, Billy Ray took issue with some of Bruno’s comments.  Billy Ray & Karina received a score of 18 out of 30 points.

For their second dance, Billy Ray Cyrus & Karina Smirnoff danced the Mambo.  Bruno Tonioli said “You’re like a wild beast that cannot be tamed.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I thought your ballroom was better.”  Len Goodman said “Billy Ray, you’re always entertaining.  You always give it your best shot.”  Billy Ray & Karina received a score of 20 out of 30 points for a total of 38 out of 60 points.

For their first dance, Laila Ali & Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Waltz.  Watching in the audience was Laila’s father, Muhammad Ali.  Len Goodman said “It was poignant.  It had class.  It had elegance all about it.” Bruno Tonioli said “You sold it.  You did it well.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “Tonight, what you brought to the dance floor was emotion.”  Laila & Maksim received a score of 27 out of 30 points.

For their second dance, Laila Ali & Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Jive.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I thought it was really, really good.”  Len Goodman said “Laila, what you did I was very, very pleased with.”  Bruno Tonioli said “Why give me an appetizer when you can deliver a great dish.”  Laila & Maksim received a score of 26 out of 30 points for a combined total of 53 out of 60 points.

For their first dance, Apollo Anton Ohno & Julianne Hough danced the Tango.  Bruno Tonioli said “That is electric, dynamic, contemporary.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “Tonight, you were fantastic.”  Len Goodman said “It lacked any passion.  It lacked drama.”  Apollo Anton & Julianne initially received a score of 28 out of 30 points, but host Samantha Harris said that Carrie Ann had held up the wrong paddle and had entered a score of 9 instead of 10 in her keypad so the score was really 27 points.

Carrie Ann protested that she had really keyed in a score of 10.  After a commercial break, host Tom Bergeron revealed that there was a problem with Carrie Ann’s computer and that she really did enter a 10.  The score was revised back to 28 points.

For their second dance, Apollo Anton Ohno & Julianne Hough danced the Paso Doble.  Len Goodman said “That is proper dance.”  Bruno Tonioli said “That is a champion looking at the finish line and going for the kill.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I had chills the whole time, that was fabulous.”  Apollo Anton & Julianne received a score of 30 out of 30 points for a combined total of 58 out of 60 points.

So who will be going home next on Dancing with the Stars?  Well, despite the judges making their best attempt to get rid of Billy Ray Cyrus by sticking him with very low scores, Bruno likely helped saved him by making rude comments.  After Bruno’s rudeness, Billy Ray fans will vote in full force.  Our prediction is Ian Ziering & Cheryl Burke will be the next couple eliminated.

Loved the last dance by Apolo and Juliane. Any dance which involves removing articles of her clothing gets a thumbs up from me. Juliane you are the hottest girl on this show ever. But they don’t need my vote – mine goes to Billy Ray. Bruno’s rudeness drove me to it.
OT: Glorious time in France – Sarkozy is President!

How is it that b/4 the voting Tom
says We will be shocked at the outcome. How does he know we will be shocked if the voting hasn’t even started. I don’t believe that Joey got the lowest number
of votes ahead of Billy Ray. We have no way of knowing the actual vote count for each contestant. Does anyone besides the show? I think the voting is rigged for ratings. Thats how come the show
can let us know we will be shocked b/4 the voting begins.
