Muhammad Ali Appears On Dancing With The Stars

Rumors had been circulating for weeks that Muhammad Ali would make an
appearance on Dancing with the Stars to watch his daughter Laila Ali
dance. During the final five couples performance show, host Tom
Bergeron announced that Laila Ali & Maksim Chmerkovskiy were going
to dedicate their first dance to some special guests in the ballroom.
The special guests were Laila’s mother and father. Laila’s father is of course three time heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali. The audience gave Muhammad Ali a standing ovation.
In a pre-taped segment, Laila’s partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy said “If I could say one thing to Muhammad Ali about Laila is ‘Muhammad, your daughter can dance.’” Laila added “Daddy, we choreographed this dance for you, so I hope it brings a smile to your face.” At one point during her Waltz, Laila blew a kiss to her dad.
