I still see Blake “The Great White Hope” going back to Seattle tomorrow night.

Setting up Melinda and Jordin in the Final 2, making it two African Americans in the Finale for the first time in Idol history-which could go either way.

If Jordin gets Blake’s votes, Melinda is TOAST.

The competition is definitely between Jordin and Melinda. I can’t wait to see who America votes for. I’m sure they will all be successful in the end. All 3 are really good in their own way. If you enjoy reality TV and watching real people find success, you should definitely check out the new reality show Bought & Sold on HGTV, http://web.hgtv.com/webhgtv/images/pac/59889/start_at_home.html?section=boughtsold,panel=videos. Have you heard of it? It’s a great show and you can really get a good idea on how the real estate industry works, from the inner workings, to the stories, the drama behind the sales, and the lengths brokers will go to just to get the deal. I work with the show, and this season is going to be great. The show airs Sundays at 10pm on HGTV. Enjoy!

Why are you guys so anti-Blake? Without him the show is boring. Melinda and Jordin have no originality at all and I really don’t see them having long term careers. They will have a modest CD success right after the show then disappear like Taylor Hicks. American ALWAYS gets it WRONG, even in our presidential elections. They always vote for MEDIOCRITY because it’s safe and familiar. Pathetic.

You think Blake is original? That beatboxing is so played it’s not even funny…not to mention downright corny already. He does have a certain appeal, I will admit. However, if this competition is based on singing, then Melinda is hands down the best, Jordan will be great when she matures a bit. I think Melinda and Jordan will both have a lasting career, Blake on the other hand will most likely be more of a fad and then people will tire of him. I think he’s going home tonight, for sure. This is Melinda and Jordan’s competition now.

Yes, Blake is merely a fad on American Idol. I couldn’t have said it better myself. He’s as original as the Original House of Pancakes. Beatboxing was not invented or made popular by Blake Lewis. It was around before he was even born! Yes, he offers something different from the rest of the contestants but is it really what you want to hear every week or all over an album? Remember, this is a singing competition and so far Melinda and Jordan have proved this week in and week out. So, that being said, go Melinda and Jordin!
