Bad Girls Reuniting For Bad Girls Road Trip
May 27, 2007 12:48 PM by Joe Blackmon
Oxygen is reuniting the ‘bad girls’ for the trip of their lives this
summer with the new half-hour reality show Bad Girls Road Trip,
premiering on Tuesday, June 12 at 10 p.m. (all times ET/PT). Produced
by Bunim-Murray, the groundbreaking producers of The Real World, the
six-episode series is a spin-off of The Bad Girls Club, Oxygen’s
highest-rated original series ever.
Bad Girls Road Trip follows The Bad Girls Club season one housemates Leslie, Aimee and Zara as they travel cross country to meet each other’s friends and family; visit the other ‘bad girls’ in their hometowns and help cast the second season of the show. With plenty of unfinished business and unanswered questions from their time living together, drama follows these unapologetic, outrageous women across the country. Stops include cast mate Kerry’s country music scene in Nashville, Zara’s one-stoplight town in upstate New York and an eventful reunion in Boston with former housemate Rispi, who left the house after a drunken altercation in the first week of season one.
Casting is also currently underway for season two of The Bad Girls Club, which is scheduled to debut in late 2007. The show will feature a cast of seven new ‘bad girls’ in a house together – the type of girls who lie, cheat and flirt their way out of trouble and have issues with other women. Face to face with a direct reflection of their own bad behavior, will they want to change? Or will they remain stuck in the same old patterns of self-defeat? Casting information is available at www.bunim-murray.com.
“Our audience made The Bad Girls Club our biggest hit ever, so we are giving them more of what they loved with Bad Girls Road Trip,” said Debby Beece, President of Programming and Marketing for Oxygen. “The show is resonating with our viewers not because our viewers are ‘bad’ themselves, but because these women are real, smart and unfiltered. They make great tv.”
“With the unfinished business between the girls, we knew we’d get a lot of drama – the surprise is that we also got a lot of humor,” said Jon Murray of Bunim-Murray Productions. “These are some of the most entertaining Bad Girls episodes we’ve ever delivered to Oxygen.” Supervising producer of Bad Girls Road Trip is Jeff Schmidt. Executive producer is Jon Murray.

I think that Ty should have been on the road trip. She was the baddest BITCH in the house, and the star of the show.
