On the fourth episode of Big Brother 8, Carol campaigned aggressively
to stay in the house. Carol even apologized to Jessica for the
problems that they had in the past. When Julie Chen first checked in
with the houseguests for the live elimination, the audio feed wasn’t
working and the houseguests couldn’t hear her. When the audio finally
started working, Julie Chen asked Jen what it was like deciding who to
evict, and Jen said she wasn’t prepared to answer anything.
During a background segment, Julie Chen played tape of Evil Dick’s mother and son talking about his relationship with his daughter. Julie Chen also talked to Kail who was alone in the head-of-household bedroom. Julie Chen asked Kail why she formed an alliance with the men in the house, and Kail said because there was such an age difference with her and the girls that she went with Zach’s idea for an alliance.
In the America’s Player choice, America voted to have Eric vote to evict Carol. After all the houseguests had cast their votes, Julie Chen announced that by a vote of ten to one Carol had been evicted from the Big Brother house. Carol Journey said “I saw that one coming.” After Carol left the house, Julie Chen played tape for her of all the nasty things that Jessica has said about her.
In the head-of-household competition, the houseguests had to answer questions the way that they felt the majority of the house would answer the question. Jen won the HOH competition on a tiebreaker question about how many gallons of water the spinning teacup in the backyard held. For the America’s Players choice, America gets to vote on who they think Eric should try to influence Jen to nominate.
