Dance War Bruno Vs Carrie Ann Holding Casting Calls

September 02, 2007 12:02 AM by Joe Blackmon

It was inevitable that the hit ABC reality TV series "Dancing with the Stars" would eventually spawn a spin-off.  Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, two of the three "Dancing with the Stars" judges, will soon battle it out on the dance
floor to create the ultimate performance group on a new, live, one-hour
primetime reality series. The new series will be called "Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann."

In another twist, the show will be hosted by none other than
second-season "Dancing with the Stars" champion Drew Lachey. The
six-week series will air this winter on the ABC Television Network.

During September, Tonioli and Inaba will scour the country to find the nation’s hottest talent for the show. Singers and dancers of all types are welcome at open auditions in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville. Chosen contestants will team up this January with the choreography giants to compete in song and dance and form the ultimate dance team, with viewers helping to whittle down and ultimately choose the winning group.

We had the show in the UK and it was called ‘Dance X’. It was pointless, awful to watch and the winners are going to get rolled.

What did the UK winners win? A chance to form a band and release a single and an album. They’re dancers NOT singers…and they’re gonna flop in the UK charts.

Fine if short-term fame is your aim but the general public didn’t particularly cared who won because the final show faced-off against the first episode of Simon Cowell’s reality TV show ‘The X Factor’.

One presumes the US show will have a bigger stage for the contestants to perform on and that the editing and presentation will have a lot more pizazz. The UK show did not fizzle at all.
