With five inventions remaining, tonight’s live finale of Fore Inventors Only will be co-hosted by
actor/comedian George Lopez. Lopez and the GOLF
CHANNEL’s Rich Lerner will host the finale live from the network’s
Orlando studios Tuesday, September 4 at 10 p.m. ET, when the winning golf
invention will be revealed.
“I can’t think of a better co-host for the finale,” said Tony Tortorici, GOLF CHANNEL’s executive producer. “George will be a great counterbalance to the tension on the show, bringing his one-of-a-kind style of comedy that will be entertaining for the competitors and viewers alike.”
With friends and family in the studio audience, the finalists will recount their physical and emotional journeys that brought them to the show and through the selection process. The series finale will showcase the golf inventions of five hopeful inventors chosen from an initial group of more than 1,000 and seven weeks of auditions, judging panels and field testing. Judges saw inventions that ranged from ludicrous to brilliant along the way, but it will be GOLF CHANNEL viewers who will have the final say and determine the ultimate winner.
Joining Lopez and Lerner will be panelists Fulton Allem, Stina Sternberg and Bill Harmon, who will welcome the finalists to the stage and, possibly to a new career.
Lopez, one of Hollywood’s biggest golfers and host of the celebrity-rich Bob Hope Chrysler Classic on the PGA TOUR, is starring in the upcoming film, “Balls of Fury” to be released on Friday and is one of the 25 most influential Hispanics in America as cited by Time Magazine.
