Big Brother Blue Ball Controversy

What would a season of Big Brother be without a little controversy in a
power of veto competition? During last seasons’ Big Brother All Stars,
there was the classic doll fight between James Rhine and Janelle
Pierzina. James claimed that Janelle snatched a doll out of his hand
during a power of veto competition, but video footage of the incident
showed Janelle reaching the doll first.
During the most recent Big Brother 8 power of veto competition, houseguests had to grab green rubber balls and use them to fill a tube. Around halfway through the competition, Julie Chen said “Zach has five, but Jameka you have been disqualified, you put a blue ball in your clear tube.”
A closeup shot of Jameka’s tube showed four green balls and one blue ball. Jameka screamed “No, I did not! No, I did not!” Eric then tried to convince Jameka to give him the green ball she still had in her hand, but Jameka kept going and put it in her tube.
Jameka continued her appeal, saying “I did not put that in there, Julie. It fell in there.” After no response from Julie Chen, Jameka yelled again “Julie, I did not put that in there. Please look at the tape.” Despite being told she was disqualified, Jameka continued to play the game. Ultimately, Zach went on to win the power of veto competition.
In Reality TV Magazine’s initial recap of the episode, we called the blue ball controversy irrelevant in the competition because Jameka continued to play, but some Big Brother fans have disagreed. As one Reality TV Magazine poster quickly pointed out, Julie’s disqualification announcement caused Jameka to stop and protest. If Jameka had not slowed down, then the outcome could possible have been different.
An even bigger controversy brewing on some Big Brother message boards is how the blue ball got in Jameka’s tube to begin with. Did it bounce in there by accident as Jameka suggested? Or did another contestant put the blue ball in Jameka’s tube as an act of sabotage? Some Big Brother fans have suggested that Evel Dick might have put the blue ball in Jameka’s tube.
After a careful review of the footage that aired, Reality TV Magazine could find no evidence showing how the blue ball got in Jameka’s tube. However, there is one point in the competition where there does appear to be a blue ball in Evel Dick’s hand. Why is Evel Dick carrying a blue ball? Did he grab it by accident and then quickly discard it? Or was it the same blue ball that eventually wound up in Jameka’s tube?

i think dick picked up his necklace, after the comp he was handling a neklace in the ktchen saying how it broke.

Jameka lost and there is no evidence to support any tampering at this point. There is no way they can redo this competition. Eric has been evicted since this competition has taken place. You can’t undo it. What do you suggest? Playing the veto over- Eric is gone and it is not possible at this point. They cannot bring Eric back to replay a competition.

Dick picked up his necklace at the beginning of the power of veto competition and put it in his pocket. It was later in the competition that a blue ball could be seen in Dick’s left hand. The blue ball was in Dick’s hand shortly before the blue ball appeared in Jameka’s tube.

You were correct with your first post. Jameka was disqualified, it was irrelevent, even when she continued to play and protest. It did not stop the rest of the players from continuing on. If that is what they are trying, then each player including the donatos can say that Jameka interrupted their game. It would only lead to Jameka having the same disqualification and Eric not winning the POV again. For the record Eric did not win many competitions. He won one POV.
The only diffrence in the outcome is that one of the donatos may win the POV, with the same results and eviction.

Isn’t that a BLUE BALL in ED’s hand? Why would he be carrying a blue ball? Where is this so called chain everyone is swearing he had instead of a blue ball? I see in the picture posted on this website a BLUE BALL in ED’s scrawny paws, not a chain…

The very point of Jameka suggesting how she thinks the Bllue ball got in there, only leads me to suspect she had put the ball in herself and was trying to get out of the disqualification.

It doesn’t matter who wins at this point anyway. Whichever of these 4 are in the final 2 will make it anticlimactic. Few of the diehard fans like the Donatos and Zach and Jameka were floaters until recently. It is going to be like Mike or Maggie winning. Few of the diehard fans will care anyway.

It could be editing. It showed Jameka with 3 then suddenly 4 without anyone puttin one in. Zach suddenly got a lot, but I suspect he was pocketing them to make one trip.

I hate to say it but Dick and Danielle just seem to come from a dysfuntional family. How do you not talk to your father for 2 years then treat him like a piece of crap after he tries so hard to appease her and kisses her butt and she just whines like a brat. she is a pretty girl , but so ugly on the inside. He is , despite his abuse antics in the middle of the game is a pretty fair guy. he wanted to honor his deal with Eric and Jess, but little miss priss said noI hope Zach has the balls to nonimate them both so she goes home(DANI)

What BB is not telling you is in the very beginning of the comp he put the blue ball in his pocket and then pulled it out and had it in his hand. BB needs to come clean about it and do something to the highly rated EVIL DICK.

Yep, BB is doing what ever they can do to keep Dick in the game b/c he provides them with high ratings. If it was Jameka that put the ball in his tube they would give her a penalty mark. They know Dick did it and they just look the other way…

Thanks for the Spoiler News on Zach–Arne–Now here’s how it should play out.
Even if Zach nominates both Donato’s, one of them must win POV. This way Saint Jameka goes up on block, remaining Donato votes her out at last!!!
If Zach or Jameka wins last POV, Dani probably will go for sure leaving Dick at the mercy of Zach and Jameka!!Yikes!!!!
Still hoping Zach and Dani final two–Dani wins by one vote.

Sorry you are wrong, if you have a TIVO, it allows us to watch frame by frame. Not only was Dick nowhere near Jameka’s tube, he happened to be putting his HOH medal in his pocket. The one that broke. BB also has camera’s all over. The real truth is that Jameka put it in her own tube by mistake. That is the reason why she shut-up and was speedy to say that somone must of bumped it in by mistake and that it got in her tube by herself. Jameka cheated, she was disqualified fair and square and she did not stop playing the POV. All the TIVO users have all said that he was nowhere near her tube. Some of those TIVO users are not Dick fans, they hate him but they prefer to be honest and truthful.
Could you please stop accusing someone of something that they did not do! FYI, Dick also suggested to Jameka that she ask BB for the camera shots to see what happened. It is Jameka who has gotten away with cheating.

What Dick put in his pocket early in hte game was his necklace. However I did notice the blue ball in his hand during the competition. I truely believe he put it in her tube. I think it was right after Danielle and Eric were arguing over the same ball.

Sorry, but it is highly unlikely that someone would put a blue ball in their tube. You would be watching the color. It may have bounced in, but I don’t think she did it.

She did do it by mistake not on purpose, by mistake, and Jameka did realize she did it by mistake, because she started to say hey who put the and stopped. She stopped because a light came on and she realized she did it by mistake. She wanted the POV bad and she was all over the place. Watch that again. It was an accident, Dick should not be accused of something he did not do.

Jameka’s Tube was right NEXT to Dick’s. He could have easily put it in there with his Left hand since he was putting the green balls in his own tube with his right hand.

oh boy…Zack’s keeping calling both Donatos “an idiot” – he better be careful or he could lose himself in the game. Jameka and Zack in my opinion should not deserve to be the winner…I believe Daniele is the one who really deserves because she shows her competitive side and shows her heart that she wants to win the game. She fought harder and won several POVs and others. Zach finally steps it up but that’s late for him and he is taking advantage of them. So I am rooting for Danile! You go! do it for Janelle P if not for you. *finger crossing*

Yeah!!! As I said, Dani,Dick and Zach final three. The last HOH will determine if Zach makes it or not. IF Zach wins, of course, he’ll bust out Dani. But can he win against Dick?? Probable but Dick has played a much better Strategic game.

It is going to be an interesting finish, to see what happens. I am just hoping that Ed or Dani take it and then they can relieve Zach of having to make the choice.
