On the final performance show of Last Comic Standing 5, Lavell
Crawford, Gerry Dee, and Jon Reep kicked off the show by delivering
their best one-liners. Lavell Crawford took the title of “King of the
One-Liners.” Comedian Kathleen Madigan made a special guest appearance.
As the three finalists waited on stage, host Bill Bellamy announced that the first comic to make the final two was Jon Reep. After special performances by comedians Greg Proops and Gilbert Gottfried, host Bill Bellamy revealed that the second comic to make the final two was Lavell Crawford. Gerry Dee was eliminated from the competition.
To close out the show, Jon Reep and Lavell Crawford delivered stand-up routines. Now, it is up to viewers to vote for who they think should be the last comic standing. On Wednesday, September 19, the Last Comic Standing finale will reveal which of the two comedians has won the title of “Last Comic Standing,” plus a $250,000 prize, an exclusive talent contract with NBC Universal and his or her own half-hour comedy special on Bravo.
