Jerry Springer Hires Three Off-Duty Female Law Enforcement Officers

September 17, 2007 12:01 AM by Joe Blackmon

Dancing With The Stars 3 contestant and America’s Got Talent 2 host
Jerry Springer will be adding a feminine touch to the seventeenth
season of The Jerry Springer Show.  Three women security guards are
being added to Jerry’s security detail for the show.

Mimi Madrigal, Katie Darwin and Mari Flores, all current off-duty law enforcement officers, will join with the veteran male members of the Springer security team this season.

Madrigal is the shortest, but probably the toughest new addition to the Springer security team. A law enforcement agent for more than 10 years, Madrigal is a die-hard Chicago White Sox fan, native of Chicago and can hold her own with any of the show’s guests.

Darwin, who is 5’8" and blonde, is from "the Sox side of town" in Chicago. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she has been in law enforcement for three years now.

And Flores, the third newcomer to the security force, is a nine-year law enforcement veteran. This tall brunette stays fit by salsa dancing and wave-running on Lake Michigan. Excited to be a part of the security team, Flores says, "I’m really looking forward to the adventure on Jerry’s stage! You never know what’s going to happen."

"The truth is, with these three women, our security has never been better (looking)!" says host Jerry Springer. "The last time I got arrested it was by these three women," says Executive Producer Richard Dominick. "They were very forceful and impressive, so I gave them a job."

"The Jerry Springer Show" is heading into its 17th season in national syndication and is distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Richard Dominick is the show’s executive producer. The show kicks off in national syndication today (Monday, September 17).
