Dancing With The Stars Top Ten Performance Show

October 08, 2007 08:45 PM by Joe Blackmon

Cuban_jiveTo kick off the top ten couples Dancing with the Stars performance
show, Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas danced the Jive.  Len Goodman
said “For me, that was your best dance so far.”  Bruno Tonioli said
“You’re like a seismic event.  You get aftershocks after your
performance.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “This dance completely suits you.
It’s youthful.  It’s vibrant.  It’s all you.”  Sabrina & Mark
received a score of 27 out of 30 points.

Cameron Mathison & Edyta Sliwinska danced the Tango.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “It was a little G-rated for my taste.”  Len Goodman said “For me, it lacked a character of the Tango.”  Bruno Tonioli said “Totally in character, lady killer, alpha male, he held the posture all the way through.”  Cameron & Edyta received a score of 23 out of 30 points.

Mark Cuban & Kym Johnson danced the Jive.  Bruno Tonioli said “You’re going the right way.  You’re controlling yourself now.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “Believe it a little bit more.  Don’t dance so much with your face.”  Len Goodman said “I can see as these two can, a development, so well done.”  Mark & Kym received a score of 20 out of 30 points.

Jennie Garth & Derek Hough danced the Tango.  Len Goodman said “What came out tonight, sharp and tangy like a pickle.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I thought it was very well done.”  Bruno Tonioli said “This was the comeback of the season.”  Jennie & Derek received a score of 26 out of 30 points.

Melanie Brown & Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Jive.  Bruno Tonioli said “Melanie, the bouncing bombshell, excitement on legs.”  Len Goodman said “That was your best dance.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “All the things that they said, I agree with.”  Melanie & Maksim received a score of 27 out of 30 points.

Wayne Newton & Cheryl Burke danced the Tango.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “It felt at times that Cheryl was leading you.”  Bruno Tonioli said “I do agree with Carrie Ann, sometimes she was leading the dance.”  Len Goodman said “The mood of it was great.  Unfortunately, you spent so much time on the character, the dance somehow disappeared.”  Wayne & Cheryl received a score of 18 out of 30 points.

Floyd Mayweather & Karina Smirnoff danced the Jive.  Len Goodman said “It had the right elements.  It was fun.  It was energetic.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “Energy-wise and the way you attacked the performance was definitely a knock-out.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You can do anything you want.  You really can.  Just please do it.”  Floyd & Karina received a score of 21 out of 30 points.

Jane Seymour & Tony Dovolani danced the Tango.  Bruno Tonioli said “You came out with a performance worthy of a silent movie queen.”  Len Goodman said “I’ll tell you what, that could have been on pay-per-view.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “Every moment was a beautiful picture.”  Jane & Tony received a score of 27 out of 30 points.

Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough danced the Jive.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “Your fun is contagious.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You raise the bar so high that I think tonight you weren’t quite on it.”  Len Goodman said “As always, you come out, turn it on, well done.”  Helio & Julianne received a score of 24 out of 30 points.

Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts danced the Tango.  Len Goodman said “You were absolutely elegant.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You kind of reminded me a bit at times of Lucille Ball.”  Bruno Tonioli said “The Meryl Streep of dance.”  Marie & Jonathan received a score of 26 out of 30 points.

Who will be the next couple eliminated from Dancing with the Stars?  If the judges scores are any indication, then either Mark Cuban & Kym Johnson or Wayne Newton & Cheryl Burke will be going home.  Last week, Wayne Newton’s fan base saved him, but will it be enough to save him this week.  Post your predictions for who will go home in the comments below.

It’s time for Wayne Newton to go or he’s going to keep ruining it for the ones who really deserve to keep dancing… just like last week.

Does anyone else hope Samantha doesn’t come back? Drew Lachey is way better than she was.

I agree, Drew is doing an excellent job. I love the Lachey’s brothers. Wayne has to go.

Yes, Wayne Newton must go…he really is not much better than Master P, and he wasn’t even trying. Maybe next season DWTS can get an older performer that is actually in shape enough to dance. Judge Len when he was giving the final 3 tips last season really showed that he was and still is a great dancer with fast feet and graceful moves. Surely there is an older celebrity that will step up next year!
