Dancing With The Stars Results – Wayne Newton Eliminated

October 09, 2007 09:10 PM by Joe Blackmon

Wayne_newton_eliminatedOn the third Dancing with the Stars 5 results show, Drew Lachey
revealed that he was filling in one last time for Samantha Harris who
will be coming back next week.  The judges selected Jennie Garth &
Derek Hough to dance an encore of the Tango.

Tom Bergeron & Drew Lachey revealed that Jane Seymour & Tony Dovolani and Jennie Garth & Derek Hough were the first two couples returning for the next round.  Special guest Seal performed “Kiss From A Rose.”

Tom Bergeron & Drew Lachey revealed that Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts and Melanie Brown & Maksim Chmerkovskiy were the next two couples that had been saved.  Special guests Billy Ray & Miley Cyrus performed “Ready, Set, Don’t Go.”  Seal returned to perform his new single “Amazing.”

Tom Bergeron & Drew Lachey revealed that Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas, Cameron Mathison & Edyta Sliwinska, Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough, and Mark Cuban & Kym Johnson were all safe.  The bottom two couples were Wayne Newton & Cheryl Burke and Floyd Mayweather & Karina Smirnoff.

Tom Bergeron announced that Wayne Newton & Cheryl Burke had the lowest combined total of viewers’ vote and judges’ scores and were eliminated from the competition.  When Bergeron asked what it felt like stepping out of his comfort zone, Wayne Newton said “I think that it’s important to live life, not exist in it, and being comfortable is wonderful, but stepping out even if you fail is not failing to me.  Not trying it is failing.”

Thank goodness Wayne left instead of Floyd!! I will miss Drew next week. What show was Tom talking about that Drew will be hosting with Bruno and Carrie Ann?

Why are the judges being so hard on Floyd Mayweather, Jr.? I’m not a boxing fan but he is really very good at dancing. What’s the deal?

I think Wayne did a good job for his age. I’d like to see any joe shmoe off the streets get out there and try ball room dancing. Its hard on the body.

Oh no, Samantha is coming gack? Time to stop watching! Word to producers, Drerw Lachey or Lisa Rinna would make a far better co-host than Samantha!

I will miss Cheryl dearly. But it was good they went in all fairness… Pretty good run by Miss Burke. In all of her seasons up until this one, she danced in EVERY show.

Keep Drew!! Samantha should stay home and take care of her newborn. Max is absolutely HOT! This year it seems that a woman will win again!

Man, as cool as this all is you totally gotta check this out. There’s an online fantasy team just for DWTS. Pick who you think’s gonna win, and go for it. Seriously, it’s that cool.

    Found it at http://www.fafarazzi.com/dwts

I love this show. It’s so relaxing after taking care of a young son all day. I want to give a headsup to all the new dancing moms. My pediatrician and I were talking about the show (we both love Dancing With The Stars), and while my son was reading his newest favorite book, my pediatrican said he’s fascinated with the bold, primary colors used on the pics because they stimulate infants and preschoolers minds. I was excited to hear that becuase I never knew that, I just knew he loves his book. FYI, the book is Ladybug Baby Bug.

Uh, thanks for the book info Kelly. Really useful for the DWTS website

I feel that the judges are a little hard on Mark Cuban..TRUE..he is not a fantastic dancer, but they seem to have something nice to say about every dancer except him. They are rude to hiim, and really seem to dislike him.

Regarding fan voting: All those envolved know the rules of Dancing With The Stars. So go with it. I tuned in for the first time because I am a fan of Wayne Newton. I wanted to see him win. Why would I vote for anyone else. All fans have thier own varied reasons for voting. I like the idea of having part of the say on who can win or not.
