October 14, 2007 12:01 AM by Joe Blackmon

Mobile Home Disaster is a new home renovation show starring comedian
Bill Engvall and an eclectic makeover crew.  The show begins with a
deserving family living in the mobile home from hell.

With Bill’s down-home, comedic charm and the unusually attractive crew’s expertise, the home is completely reconstructed, making the family the envy of their trailer park.  Mobile Home Disaster premieres on Sunday, October 14 at 7:00PM ET/PT.

i would very much appreciate to have my family signed up for this. the people i live with took me in when i had no where to go and brought me right back up to my feet. our home is not the greatest place and is in really bad condition. “Mom” says she doesnt mind it but i can see the agony in her face when she looks at it. we hardly ever make money and things are kinda tight around here but we still manage. i think she deserves this home being redone completely. is there anyway to apply for this? you have my email so please message me. it would be much appreciated.

My mother lives in the northern woods of Wisconsin in a small town hardly anyone knows about and she has been through so much. She has survived Breast Cancer, and a horrible car accident in which she broke over twenty bones in her body. She has helped out her children in ways that only a mother can. She took me and my son back in without a second thought. Due to her lack of money and support her house has become rather run down. Just last week her roof caved in bad enough to see through to the stars at night. When her family and friends tried to repair what they could they discovered how much more had to be done. New floors, a new ceiling, and new cabinets. All damaged from the water from her leaking roof. She has dealt with this problem for as long as I could remember. She loves that home and if you asked her what she would do if she won the lottery she always said that she would fix up her mobile home. It means everything to her and she has worked so hard and overcome so much that she deserves something nice to happen to her. Can you please tell me how I can sign up my mother for this show. If anyone needs this it is her. you can reach me at meghangatton@yahoo.com. Thank you for your time. Meghan

My parents are dairy farmers and have been living in a rundown trailer for 10 years now. The floors are falling in the roof and walls leak the window sills are rotted, the cabinets are falling of the wall the bathtub has a crack in it, the kitchen sink won’t drain, it’s an absolute disaster. I’m worried that the next big storm we have will just do it in. They have been saving and saving but end up always helping me (like when i had my daughter and could not afford the medical bills that they paid.) or someone else out with money or having to fix something around the farm leaving them waiting for the next year to try to afford a new home. My parents are good hearted people and could really use the break. Please help them! ladyluck24711@gmail.com

I found this email address on a website while looking for a way to enter Mobile Home Disaster Deserving candidate, my grandmother, Effie Eubanks. She is an 83 young widow, who would make a great Mobile Home Disaster candidate. She has lived in Coalinga, California since the death of her husband approximately 10 years ago. She lives alone except for her companion pet, a Pomeranian named Prince. My grandmother has never driven as she was raised in a generation when mostly men drove and when granddad passed she felt she was too old to start driving, so she moved from Redding to Coalinga to be closer to family. She hates to burden family so she bought the first mobile home she found available and a thorough inspection was never done. Over the past years her family has repeatedly tried to convince her to move to a nicer place, but financially she is stuck with the mobile she bought sight unseen. At the purchase time she just wanted to live close to family and her husband was buried in Coalinga also. The trailer is small and bringing the family together to visit her is very tight. Granddad passed on Christmas eve so every one tries to come home to Grammas at Christmas time so to keep her spirits up. Her trailer has had many leaks and the problems with plumbing and cooling system. The swamp cooler has literally almost fallen through the roof from a water leak. Recently the land lord of the Trailer Park served her and other tenants with Eviction Notices in an attempt to encourage all to make upgrades. My grandmother is very proud and although we have insisted on installing new porches, ceiling fans, planting a garden, and repairing her breakages as they occur, we can not just force her to move somewhere else. The family is planning on getting her a motorized cart as we fear she is getting too weak to keep walking everywhere. I really am not sure how her home will accommodate the cart when needed. I would like to submit her name and story for consideration for a mobilehome disaster make over. Any consideration is appreciated. She is a loving grandmother who deserves some help! Over the years she has made many hand made quilts for the family and we would all like to see her have a nice home to live out her days in and allow the family to gather around her for many more celebrations. I have pictures available and many more details, please contact me if you can assist me in getting her name submitted. Thank you- respond to whitsons6@sbcglobal.net

My name is Tammy, me and my family ( dad/ Daniel, mom/Kathy, and sister/Stephanie, , leave in a 3 bedroom single wide trailor for about 15 yrs. and it is falling apart. When i got married we had no place to go so add on my son/J.J., and my husband/ Timothy. So yes, that is 6 people living in this trailor. My mom is 56 and she has been a hard worker her whole life. But do to an accident she can barely walk now. Which leaves my dad ( who is 52) working 2 different jobs and still tries to fix up things and work outside. We are not rich people so we dont have the tools to fix things up and they just stay broken. My husband is gone to help the family bring it some kind of money for bills… My parents are great people and they know almost everyone in our town. My mom works for Copperas Cove high School for the last 19 yrs. I want to give this to her, for all of her hard work and dedication to our family! This would mean the world to her becaue right now she cant even relax in her own home without the breakers blowing left and right, the mices all around and everytime we have bad weather it really blows half of our trailor away…..I would like to see if there is a way that I can enter my family to be on the show and a chance to have a lovely home that my parents can grow old at, without them worring about the house and what all that needs to be done to it…….. Please help!

We never have the money to fix up the place. Our floors are either rotting or have holes in them already. Our Kitchen is falling apart, and there is no space to store anything. We have holes in the walls in our front room and one of the bedrooms. Basically our house is falling apart and we don’t have much space. I’m afraid for my son, growing up in our house the way it is now. Please if there is anything you can do let me know. We don’t have the money or time to spare to fix it ourselves. Man, do I need to be on your show. My father had two mobile home rentals in a small midwestern town in Indiana when the recession hit so hard here. He’s disabled and both properties needed so much work. Like a good daughter, I moved 80 miles north to help him. By the grace of god, we managed to sell one of the properties and the other one I am working two jobs and saving up to buy from him. Problem is, he doesn’t have the money to make the repairs or the physical ability. I want to make the repairs to the broken water main and relocating the electrical line outside the fence the property needs, siding and windows, but can’t really do it because of a herniated disc in my neck and the fact that I’m working nights at the hospital. Please consider my (future) trailer as a project for the show, my e-mail is klooper11@hotmail.com and my number is 765-244-1379. thanks, Kristy

My daughter has had many health issues, and in fact just had surgery on 10/20/2010. He works hard to support her and her two children from previous realationships, he loves her and loves the children like they are his own. He lost his father not to long before they got married also. They could really use help to get their mobile home back to being a safe home. I love them all very much but I am in no place to be able to help them to get it up to par. My uncle moved back home to help his mother who is up in age. He bought a used mobile home thinking that he and his wife could fix it themselves. He has health problems that limits his mobility for strenous jobs he has been looking for semi easy jobs but haven’t found a job yet. They are living with black mold, and a host of other unsafe elements he has become sick because of it. He doesn’t have the money for a quick renovation that will eliminate the mold. Unemployment doesn’t pay much. Thanks you for reading this.
