Dancing With The Stars – First Perfect Score Of The Season

October 15, 2007 08:48 PM by Joe Blackmon

Sabrina_perfectscoreTo kick off the Dancing with the Stars top nine couples performance
show, co-host Samantha Harris returned and thanked viewers for the
cards and warm wishes that she received while she was out having a
baby.  Samantha also thanked Drew Lachey for filling in for her while
she was away.

Mark Cuban & Kym Johnson danced the Viennese Waltz.  Len Goodman said “That was your best dance.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You are improving.  You are working very, very hard.  You have to keep that level all the way through the dance.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “For two weeks now, I’ve been telling you not to sing along when you dance, and not to dance with your mouth, and this week you did it.  I’m very proud of you.  The mouth was not moving.”  Mark & Kym received a score of 22 out of 30 points.

Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas danced the Paso Doble.  Bruno Tonioli said “You were just incredible tonight.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I thought that was perfection.”  Len Goodman said “Of all the celebrities, uou set your own standards.”  Sabrina & Mark received a score of 30 out of 30 points, the first perfect score of the season.

Jane Seymour & Tony Dovolani danced the Viennese Waltz.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “We do have a rule about lifts, and you guys pushed it I felt.”  Len Goodman said “It had all the moments of old Vienna.”  Bruno Tonioli said “It was just delicious.”  Jane & Tony received a score of 26 out of 30 points.

Floyd Mayweather & Karina Smirnoff danced the Paso Doble.  Len Goodman said “I don’t know if you frightened the bull, but you scared me.”  Bruno Tonioli said “I think tonight you went from a bulldozer to a bullfighter in one giant leap.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “That was the most improvement I’ve seen from you.”  Floyd & Karina received a score of 23 out of 30 points.

Melanie Brown & Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Viennese Waltz.  Bruno Tonioli said “Melanie, sweet dreams are made of this.  I was swept away to wonderland.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You’re very womanly when you dance, but you’re also very graceful.”  Len Goodman said “You’re a revelation.”  Melanie & Maksim received a score of 26 out of 30 points.

Cameron Mathison & Edyta Sliwinska danced the Paso Doble.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “That was incredible.”  Len Goodman said “You and Paso Doble go together like fish & chips.”  Bruno Tonioli said “Superman is back in a blaze of glory.”  Cameron & Edyta received a score of 27 out of 30 points.

Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts danced the Viennese Waltz.  Len Goodman said “I thought you did a great, great job.”  Bruno Tonioli said “It was a bit like sleeping beauty, but still asleep.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “I actually thought it was a nice choice.”  Marie & Jonathan received a score of 26 out of 30 points.

Jennie Garth & Derek Hough danced the Paso Doble.  Bruno Tonioli said “You’re getting better every week.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said “You passion is coming through.”  Len Goodman said “Blooming fantastic.”  Jennie & Derek received a score of 27 out of 30 points.

Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough danced the Viennese Waltz.  Carrie Ann Inaba said “But Helio, you know, when you dance, you make me happy to be alive.”  Len Goodman said “I loved it.  I thought you did a great job.”  Bruno Tonioli said “You are like sunlight.  You can never have enough.”  Helio & Julianne received a score of 27 out of 30 points.

Who will be the next couple to leave Dancing with the Stars?  In the best overall performance night of the season to date, it could turn out to be a very close vote.  Our prediction is that Mark Cuban & Kym Johnson and Floyd Mayweather & Karina Smirnoff will be the bottom two couples, and Floyd Mayweather & Karina Smirnoff will be sent home.  Post your predictions in the comments section below.

Sabrina is excellent … nuff said.

WOW. Great show tonight! I can’t believe the level of dancing this year. I like most of the remaining stars…going to be hard to pick out a favorite! Mark should go next, even though he is getting better every week. Floyd better pick up the pace or he’ll be out in two weeks. Julianne looked smokin’ hot tonight! Great season!

I’m sick of the judges and their attitude towards Sabrina. She can seriously do no wrong in front of the judges, she was way too stiff and fast for the dance. I found her dance to pale in comparison to Jane and Mel’s Waltz and to the other Paso Dobles (Jenny’s deserved more than a 27.)

great dancing showing. everyone was great, except for floyd and mark cuban. floyd could last a week or but mark cuban is the weakiest of all. he shall be out tomorrow. never heard of him before.

To Jennifer: thank you! I thought it was just me, but there seemed to be no passion in Sabrina’s dance. Just power and speed, and she was very stiff. Perfect 30? I thought at least 2 couples did better than them, I’m so surprised at the scores this week. Floyd with 8′s? He was at the bottom in my book. Are they kidding? Unbelievable.

I think that Carrie Ann And Len are VERY racist and Floyd Mayweather could never get a good score from them. They have both been VERY unfair to him. If he is sent home it will be the last time I will watch your show. I don’t want to hear about Emmitt Smith because he did not deserve to win either – Mario should have won (I am Black but I am not racist). I think that Carrie Ann should be removed from the show.

Oh please. As far as Floyd is concerned, THIS IS NOT A RACE ISSUE (and shame on those who want to play that card). He simply does not dance as well as the others. He needs to take criticism gracefully and move on. He can take a page from Mark Cuban. Mark has been critiqued from Day 1, but he is slowly improving and listening to the judges. While Mark won’t be in the final 3, at least he can take it like a man and learn from his mistakes.

Geez, how many times are we going to go with the race issue? Carrie Anne and Len are just being honest and helpful….Floyd is not a good dancer and he needs to make improvements. Its not that big of a deal, just listen to their advice, follow it and next time make it better. Every other dancer out there is making improvements and having to listen to criticism. If Floyd can’t take it, be a good sport and quit…Quit making poor excuses for your lack of talent.

Come on. Floyd is the worst dancer on the show. He is certainly strong and athletic, but he jumps around like a fool and has no subtlety or grace. I thought Kuban was ok, not the best. i think Jenny and Jane were really rippoed off. I thought they were equal to sabrina.

Well, they are all great, but Jane and Tony didn’t seem to connect with each other last night, so I think it will be them to go.

  11. Attangiers Says:

Floyd is truly pound for pound the best professional boxer on the planet. Unfortunately, he dances likes he boxes (if any of you have watched his fights, I have seen no less than five), meaning his footwork is extremely quick, and he has developed incredible shoulder muscles and hand speed which bodes very well in the fight game but does not bode well for ballroom dancing, due to flexibility issues – - – secondly, he in the beginning stages of preparing for his championship fight the first week in December – - – cardio vascular wise the training goes hand in hand, but the strength exercises do not – - – As to whether he or Cuban go is of little consequence, both are applauded for their effort

I agree Sabrina and Mark’s dance was not a perfect 30. I think the fix is in, I think that they want a female to win.

Last night was the worse TV hour and
a waste of time,I can remember. I will never again watch the results show live again..
I will record it and fast forward
    and just see the result…

Barbara Im white and that is true i notice alot of times the blacks are treated unfair. Im sorry for that. It just that the show is pretty much a set so no blacks can win. I have to admit that is true. Then also we have more of our majority voting. Which probably most likely wound not chose a black.

  15. Karen Smedes Says:
    October 18th, 2007 at 4:29 pm

The show is racist come on people tell the true.Im white and i know it is.Im an human resource person and i dont how many times i been told not to hire a black or the company will be down hill.

I have done this myself alot of times. Instead of looking at a black for the qualites they have I focus more on the color they are. So i can say sometimes I don’t judge fairly either. The reason Carrie Ann is judging like is maybe because she will be out of a job because the show is pretty much a set up and she wants to be like us whites.More like she wants to fit in.
