Carrie Underwood And Jennifer Hudson To Perform On Movies Rock

American Idol winner Carrie Underwood and American Idol finalist
Jennifer Hudson will join several other singers in performing on a new
entertainment special called Movies Rock.  Other performers include
BeyoncÃ, Sir Elton John, Fergie, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, John
Williams, Marc Anthony, Mary J. Blige and Nelly.

In addition to winning America Idol 4, Carrie Underwood won the 2006 Grammy Award for Best New Artist.  Some Hearts, her debut album, has been certified six times platinum and is to date the fastest selling debut country album in history.  Her second album, Carnival Ride, was recently released.

In addition to being a finalist on American Idol 3, Jennifer Hudson won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA, a SAG Award and two BET Awards for her role as Effie White in the 2006 motion picture musical "Dreamgirls.”

Movies Rock will celebrate the relationship between music and film.  The show will be a two-hour live event and will take place at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles.  The live event will be taped on Sunday, December 2 and will be broadcast on Friday, December 7 from 9:00PM to 11:00PM ET/PT on CBS.  The Entertainment Industry Foundation will be a beneficiary of the project.
