Dancing With The Stars Top Six Couples Perform Two Dances Each
November 05, 2007 09:51 PM by Joe Blackmon
On the top six couples Dancing with the Stars performance show, each
couple danced both a ballroom dance and a Latin dance. For their first
dance, Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough danced the Tango. Len
Goodman said “Not one heel lead, Julianne, did he do, not one heel lead
throughout the dance.” Bruno Tonioli said “You two are like thunder
and lightning.” Carrie Ann Inaba said “I liked it.” Helio Castroneves
& Julianne Hough received a score of 25 out of 30 points.
For their second dance, Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough danced the Samba. Bruno Tonioli said “That’s what I like to see.” Carrie Ann Inaba said “I really like watching you do the Latin dances." Len Goodman said “Just because you come from Brazil doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re going to be good at the Samba. In the same way, just because you come from Texas doesn’t mean to say you’re going to be a good President.” Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough received a score of 27 out of 30 points for a combined total of 52 out of 60 points.
For their first dance, Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts danced the Quickstep. Bruno Tonioli said “You raised the roof, Marie.” Carrie Ann Inaba said “I thought it was wonderful.” Len Goodman said “For me that had the most twist of all the dances.” Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts received a score of 28 out of 30 points.
For their second dance, Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts danced the Cha Cha Cha. Carrie Ann Inaba said “I think that there wasn’t quite enough content for this late in the season.” Len Goodman said “It was a good effort.” Bruno Tonioli said “You peaked earlier on.” Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts received a score of 24 out of 30 points for a combined total of 52 out of 60 points.
For their first dance, Melanie Brown & Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Foxtrot. Carrie Ann Inaba said “Tonight, it felt just a hair out of sync.” Len Goodman said “The footwork was out unfortunately.” Bruno Tonioli said “You performed it very well, but the footwork needs a little bit of finesse.” Melanie Brown & Maksim Chmerkovskiy received a score of 24 out of 30 points.
For their second dance, Melanie Brown & Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the Paso Doble. Len Goodman said “It had the passion, the aggression.” Bruno Tonioli said “That was an adrenaline charged dominatrix.” Carrie Ann Inaba said “I think you just kicked some serious bootie.” Melanie Brown & Maksim Chmerkovskiy received a score of 30 out of 30 points for a combined total of 54 out of 60 points.
For their first dance, Jane Seymour & Tony Dovolani danced the Quickstep. Len Goodman said “The two biggest mistakes for me was total lack of body contact throughout the dance which you’ve got to try and get and occasionally poor footwork.” Bruno Tonioli said “Everybody knows you have natural class.” Carrie Ann Inaba said “I think you just need to bring a little bit more excitement to the routine.” Jane Seymour & Tony Dovolani received a score of 24 out of 30 points.
For their second dance, Jane Seymour & Tony Dovolani danced the Cha Cha Cha. Bruno Tonioli said “That was a very well executed, well placed Cha Cha Cha.” Carrie Ann Inaba “It was really a good job.” Len Goodman said “You’ve got to come out and give us a few fireworks and that’s what’s lacking for me.” Jane Seymour & Tony Dovolani received a score of 26 out of 30 points for a combined total of 50 out of 60 points.
For their first dance, Jennie Garth & Derek Hough danced the Viennese Waltz. Bruno Tonioli said “Sometimes you are so fluid you are like a water nymph in a magic lake.” Carrie Ann Inaba said “What I noticed in you tonight was a lot of broken lines.” Len Goodman said “For me there was not enough Viennese Waltz.” Jennie Garth & Derek Hough received a score of 25 out of 30 points.
For their second dance, Jennie Garth & Derek Hough danced the Rumba. Carrie Ann Inaba “That was really nice and way to come back.” Len Goodman said “The only person who’s not convinced that you’re a really good dancer is you.” Bruno Tonioli said “For me that was incredible satisfying.” Jennie Garth & Derek Hough received a score of 28 out of 30 points for a combined total of 53 out of 60 points.
For their first dance, Cameron Mathison & Edyta Sliwinska danced the Quickstep. Carrie Ann Inaba said “I kind of felt like it was a little wild and a little out of control.” Len Goodman said “Well, Superman, you’ve got to calm down.” Bruno Tonioli sadi “Well, it was Mr. Flash in a mad dash. It was such a dash that you forgot the steps.” Cameron Mathison & Edyta Sliwinska received a score of 24 out of 30 points.
For their second dance, Cameron Mathison & Edyta Sliwinska danced the Jive. Len Goodman said “You did that fantastic.” Bruno Tonioli said “You took it kicking and screaming, and you did a good job.” Carrie Ann Inaba said “Now, you’ve become a really fine dancer.” Cameron Mathison & Edyta Sliwinska received a score of 27 out of 30 points.
Who will be the next couple to go home on Dancing with the Stars? The overall judges’ scores were so close this week that the viewer vote should play a major role in deciding who stays and who goes. Jane Seymour is likely at risk, but it could really be anyone. Post your predictions below.

Am I the only one who didn’t appriciate the comment about bad presidents comming from Texas. I thought this was a dance contest….and not a political forumn….Screw the judge who said that and send his limey ass back to the UK….I’m not watching the any more until they throw him off the show…..I almost fell out of my chair when he said that.

No, Ray, you weren’t the only one who did not appreciate Len’s comment about the President. He’s there to judge the dancing, not take jabs at the Presient.

what was the name of the song Jennie danced to for her second dance?

I loved Elio and Julianne!! Considering Elio has no entertainment/dancing/acting background, I think he is superb!! Good job Julianne!

I was so happy to see the professional dancer voted off (the blonde Spice girl). Now people need to vote off the other one and leave the contest to the amateurs. Isn’t that what it’s supposed to be about? Did you hear Mel talking about all the new dance routines she was having to learn for her spice girls show? Don’t vote for a professional and maybe the producers will get the message. And tell Lyn that Americans do have a sense of humor, but humor has a right time and place. Dancing with the stars is not the place for politics.

Does anyone know the name of the second song that Jennie and Derek Danced to? It was something about I Can’t Believe?
November 7th, 2007 at 3:49 pm
Jennie and Derek danced the Viennese Waltz to “Runaway” by The Corrs and the rumba to “Fallen” by Lauren Wood. If you guys saw the movie, PRETTY WOMAN, that song was playing during the scene where Richard Gere takes Julia Roberts to the opera in San Francisco. On his Lear jet, of course.
