Top Six Bands Perform On Next Great American Band

November 23, 2007 12:01 AM by Joe Blackmon

In a shocker, early favorite Franklin Bridge was eliminated from The
Next Great American Band last week.  Franklin Bridge’s unexpected
departure led Shelia E. to declare that she thought America got it
wrong.

Will America get it wrong again?  There are only seven bands left, and one band will be eliminated, while the six other bands will perform in front of the judges and a live studio audience.  The six bands that make it through this week will perform a song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are or course members of legendary band The Rolling Stones.  The two have been a songwriting team for more than 40 years. They began writing together with the song "As Tears Go By." “Tell Me (You’re Coming Back)” was their first co-writing project released as a single by The Rolling Stones.  The two have collaborated on almost 100 songs.

The Next Great American Band airs on Friday, November 23 from 8:00PM to 9:00PM ET/PT on FOX.

I think F.B. left too soon as well, but they were going for third or fourth place in my mind.

To me the two best bands are Dot Dot Dot and The Clarke Brothers. Six Wire is third, then F.B. and the rest.
