Ghost Hunters International To Premiere January 9

November 26, 2007 12:02 AM by Joe Blackmon

Ghost Hunters has been such a huge hit for the SIC FI Channel that the
show has earned its own spin off.  As previously reported by Reality TV
Magazine, Ghost Hunters International will follow the adventures of a
new team of paranormal investigators as they apply their principles of
scientific debunking to some of the most legendary haunted spots around
the world.

The new team will consist of veteran TAPS investigators Robb Demarest, Andy Andrews, Brian Harnois and Donna La Croix, along with Barry Fitzgerald (who appeared on the Ghost Hunters’ investigations in Ireland) and newcomer Shannon Sylvia.

SCI FI Channel recently announced the premiere date of this new reality series as Wednesday, January 9 at 9 PM ET/PT.  Ghost Hunters International is currently in production in Europe, and premiere episode will take place in Scotland.  In Scotland, the team will investigate the abandoned depths of Mary King’s Close.  Mary King’s Close is an underground phenomenon, consisting of vaults and tunnels.  At the turn of the 19th century, this area was filled with destitute inhabitants.

Currently, Mary King’s Close is considered to be one of the most haunted locales in Scotland.  From there, the team will investigate claims of restless young spirits at the Ragged School of Edinburgh, which is a former residence for impoverished children.
