Last week, Tres Bien was eliminated from The Next Great American Band. This week, one more band will be eliminated from the competition, and the remaining four bands will perform two songs, one song by Queen and one song of their own.

Of the five bands facing elimination this week, three are from Nashville, Tennessee. The Clark Brothers, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, and Sixwire all call Nashville home. Light of Doom from San Marcos, California and Dot Dot Dot from Chicago, Illinois round out the top five.

Queen became a popular band in the mid-seventies. Their chart-topping singles included a “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Another One Bites the Dust.” Queen experienced a resurgence in popularity when Freddie Mercury’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” was included in the 1992 movie “Wayne’s World.” Queen’s anthems “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You” are among the most popular songs played in sports stadiums.

The Next Great American Band airs on Friday, December 7 from 9PM to 10PM ET/PT on FOX.
