Vitale Family On Extreme Makeover Home Edition
December 09, 2007 01:05 AM by Joe Reality
Ty Pennington and the Extreme Makeover Home Edition crew travel to Athens, VT to transform the home of the Vitale family into a safe and handicapped-accessible house. The Vitale family consists of Sarah and Lou and their sons, Kane and Louie Angelo Jr.
Louie Angelo Jr. suffers from multiple birth defects, including Arthogryposis, club feet and skeletal displasia. Despite his health problems, Louie Angelo Jr. loves to paint. Louie Angelo Jr. inspired his mother Sarah to start an organization where children could paint and auction off their paintings to raise money and awareness for their particular disease.
Unfortunately, due to limited resources, the Vitale family home is not built to meet all of Louis Jr.’s needs. Because their house was built on a weak foundation, it makes it difficult to install ramps. The family has been warned by engineers that one day their house could collapse without warning.
The design team working on the Vitale family home will be team leader Ty Pennington and designers Michael Moloney, Paige Hemmis, Tanya McQueen and Rib Hillis. Extreme Makeover Home Edition airs on Sunday, December 9 from 8PM to 9PM ET on ABC.
