Clash Of The Choirs Season Finale Expanded To Two Hours
December 20, 2007 01:01 AM by Joe Reality
Clash of the Choirs, the four episode reality TV mini-series, has been delivering solid ratings for NBC. With the success of the show, it’s no surprise that NBC has announced that it will be expanding the season finale to two hours. The additional hour will allow Clash of the Choirs to show longer background features and to include more songs.
The announcement was made by Craig Plestis, who is the Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming, Development and Specials for NBC Entertainment. “This musical series has struck a powerful chord among viewers during this holiday season. It’s amazing how many phone calls and e-mails have poured in from viewers these past few days asking NBC to bring the show back or at least give them more,” said Plestis. “We’ve listened and we are giving them what they have asked for with this expanded finale.”
Clash of the Choirs began on December 17 with Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey, Kelly Rowland and Blake Shelton each creating their own choir. Choirs have been eliminated one by one through viewer voting. The Clash of the Choirs season finale airs on Thursday, December 20 from 8PM to 10PM ET on NBC.
