American Idol Finalist Phil Stacey To Be Grand Marshal Of The Winn-Dixie Hometown Gator Bowl Parade

Exciting news for American Idol 6 finalist Phil Stacey. The former Jacksonville resident has been selected as the Grand Marshal of the Winn-Dixie Hometown Gator Bowl Parade. In addition, Stacey will sing the National Anthem at the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl on New Year’s Day.

The annual Winn-Dixie Hometown Gator Bowl Parade kicks off at 3PM on December 31 in downtown Jacksonville. “Take A Walk On The Wild Side” is the theme of the Winn-Dixie Hometown Gator Bowl Parade. In addition to appearing on American Idol, Phil Stacey also served his country as a member of the Navy band. As previously reported by Reality TV Magazine, Stacey is currently recording songs for his debut CD.

Joining Grand Marshall Phil Stacey are VIP Marshals Roger ‘Roc” LaRue and Chef Robert Tulko. ‘Roc’is a Rockabilly Hall of Fame member, and Chef Robert is famous for his recipes on Good Morning Jacksonville. Gator Bowl Hall of Fame inductees the Honorable Don Davis and former Heisman Trophy Winner George Rogers will also be appearing in the parade.
