Top Chef: The Cookbook was announced today by Bravo Media. The book will be published by Chronicle Books, a leading publisher in the cooking category. Packaging will be done by Melcher Media.
Top Chef: The Cookbook will launch in March. The book is an official companion cookbook to Bravo’s Emmy-nominated Top Chef TV series. The book will reveal the dish on the food, chef’testants and the show.
Jason Klarman, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Digital Strategy for Bravo, made the announcement. “‘Top Chef’ fans are as passionate about the food on the show as they are about the contestants,” said Klarman. “This book serves them the best of both, allowing them now to enjoy the show in their kitchens as well as their living rooms.”
“Chronicle Books is thrilled to be publishing the Top Chef Cookbook. Many of us here are fans of the show—it all began in San Francisco, after all – and more than that, we are admirers of Bravo’s creative approach to entertainment,” said Mikyla Bruder, Publishing Director, Chronicle Books. “We know we will have great fun collaborating with them on this exciting project.”
Top Chef: The Cookbook will feature more than 100 recipes from the first three seasons of the series. The introduction is written by lead judge Tom Colicchio. The book will also feature in-depth discussions with contestants, judges and crew about the inner workings of the series.
Some of questions answered will include who creates the challenges, who came up with the “Pack your knives and go” tagline and ‘where are they now?’ Photographs of the Top Chef pantry, close-ups of competition sites, and classic show moments will be included.
Other products involving the Top Chef brand include a new mobile game from LimeLife and Top Chef knives from Master Cutlery.
