Now that the American Idol judges have narrowed down the contestants to the top twenty-four semifinalists, it is finally time for American viewers to have their say. Who among the top twelve boys and top twelve girls will make it to the all important top twelve overall?
The viewer voting part of the competition kicks off this week with three American Idol episodes. Two of the episodes run for two hours, so American Idol fans can look forward to five hours of Idol. The first two hour episode airs on Tuesday, February 19 from 8 PM to 10 PM ET on FOX and features the top 12 boys.
The second two hour episode airs on Wednesday, February 20 from 8 PM to 10 PM ET on FOX and features the top 12 girls. Then, the first American Idol 7 one hour results show airs on Thursday, February 21 from 8 PM To 9 PM ET on FOX. On the results show, a total of four semifinalists, two females and two males, will be voted off and lose their chance at becoming the next American Idol.
